This is what the article says....

Why would Dipo want to voluntarily come to the Rocket's burning building?

You are correct. I saw bad source last night.

For anyone interested, here is a good source of future draft picks owed:

Like in a trade right now.

I think they value him highly. I disagree with this assessment and hope what they think about him is just fluff to flip him to a third team.

The fact that he already came out and leaked Miami please, is wild.

I think he's going to Dallas or Orlando. The former because they need a 3rd player and Vic fits that mold. The latter because they were doing damn good before Fultz went down and Vic can easily slide into that role.

Both teams have the expiring salaries (Hardaway and Fournier) to make it work. Think it's all about draft compensation.

And those pieces in question iggy, harkless, etc are next to meaningless.

I'm old enough to remember when we were flush with 6'8" power forwards.

As much as a was disappointed in Terrence Jones.....I would take TJ of 3 years in the league right now.

While most Houston fans are tired of players complaining as a result of the James Harden fiasco. We need to see trade opportunities with information like this is it is indeed fact. Not to Spur debate, but I would actually ask for Duncan Robinson first and get some more shooting here at the SF position. I would also add a third team to make up for the salary difference and work to resign Duncan immediately.

I think the Rockets value him as an expiring contract they can use to get another first-round pick or a player with upside on a rookie contract.

Also, this story about Oladipo reportedly saying he wants to play in Miami is further confirmation the owners need to put a stop to this player empowerment movement in the next CBA. If players want to leave via free agency, fine. But, this concept of any decent player using the media and even sitting out games to force their existing team to trade him to their preferred destination needs to stop.

I can dig it. Still not sold on MPJ, but if its for an expiring like Oladipo Im willing to take a swing on an extra year of MPJ under contract to convince me.

I can see why older folks would dislike it but the modern era of sports embodies player empowerment. that's just the reality whether we like it or not. that isn't going away anytime soon. It's an aspect these athletes have acknowledged and won't be letting up. It'll take a generation that doesn't want that in order for it to start to change. but as of now, get used to it if you havent already. we're already seeing players being more vocal than ever outside of basketball.

3 Team Deal that could be executed right now

    Denver In: Oladipo, Tucker
    Pacers In: Lavert, 2nd
    Hou In: Harris, MPJ

For Denver, they fix their defense in 1 trade. Oladipo is a huge improvement over Harris, Tucker provides spacing and defense. They also, get to unload Harris’ contract, which completely opens up their cap for this summer.

I’m not interested in a deal with Denver if it doesn’t involve MPJ, so if they counter offer without MPJ, I’d move on.
