I'd rather have gotten Ben, Thybulle and a pick or two, personally.

We didn’t. The Nets picks suck and we didn’t land one stud young player.

    But the owner saves $$.

Of course we did the wrong thing. But to be fair.....we dont know what kind of protections were on the "draft compensation" Morey was offering. But we made a mistake. You are only getting ONE really good pick from this trade. That's it. We are done for years.

#1 priority was saving Tilman money, so the Nets deal was definitely the right choice.

Tillman was never gonna trade with Morey. His ego is too inflated to swallow his pride and make the right deal
Rockets just used the 76ers are leverage.

What could Simmons have fetched from a 3rd team?

There's gotta be something to be said about Morey being the negotiator having impact on this.

Rockets org is now fully anti-Morey.

Which pick are you referring to? Interesting that you can see into the future.

I think for sure a top 4 pick in the 2021 or 2022 draft.

This comes down to, do we value a sure thing more? Or a couple of maybes?

I don't see how a couple of maybes is the correct move when trading our franchise player, after trading all of our future picks to make it work with him.

I’m interested in what draft compensation Morey was offering...I don’t really care about Thybulle tho

I would’ve been fine with an offer from Philly if Simmons was able to get re-routed for something good

I’m not as pessimistic as you. Durant and Harden are heading into their mid 30s. And they may not want to stick with eachother if they have some bad playoff showings the next few years. There’s also the risk of injury for older players.

The picks could end up being very good for us.
