I'm glad the trade is done. I am truly relieved. I do not like the players we got back, but that is for a different discussion. A lot of Harden slander going around. Some deserved and some undeserved. I honestly believe there is enough blame to go around for both sides. Lots of divorces are messy and there are always two sides to every story and as they say, the truth usually lies somewhere in between.

That being said, no matter what you think or what is said about him upon his departure, his former GM and coach were willing to give up a ton of assets to trade for him. Philly and BKN were the final two teams in the Harden sweepstakes from what we've been told. Who knows more about Harden's work ethic, locker room presence, and ability as a player? Think about that.

yup...he has a history of producing wins

Harden took a 33 yo CP3, and delivered 65 wins and a game 7 in the WCF against 1 of the most stacked teams of all time

Harden and 33 yo CP3 was competing against and beating Curry, KD, Klay, and Draymond

now Harden is back with another top 5 player...Nets defense will be mad shaky, and their C position is very weak, but they have a chance to reach the finals for the 1st time since 2003

Harden and Embiid would’ve been at the top of the East

The owner is the problem, he drives everyone out of here starting from CP3.

If the current package was better than what Morey was willing to offer, its safe to say Morey didn't want Harden back as bad as some want to believe.

With Tilman and Morey involved, it wouldn't even surprise me if we later find out that the Philly offer was better and we just refused to trade with them out of revenge and spite. Could've just been negotiating with Morey to drive the price up with no intentions to deal with him at all. The point is I'd like to see what that final offer was and depending on how you feel about Simmons as a player would probably determine your opinion on whether or not it was a better one. I don't doubt for a second that whatever it was, that it wasn't significant. Looks like we opted for draft picks and expiring contracts to start clearing the cap.
