I have to say, I’m not thrilled with the return. What area everyone’s thoughts?

Like it....? Not really.... since the fruit of this trade will take long to ripen. I am happy we have a direction... a proper rebuild.

Yes. I’m happy with it. We own 7 FRPs from other teams, plus 4 swaps, all of it unprotected.

Oladipo will be dealt for more picks/prospects, as will Tucker.

Take a day to think about it. So many knee jerk reactions and threads.

I still have faith we can right the ship with Harden, he just needs to buy in.

I like it. It's a long term project, but 4 unprotected picks are pretty darn nice. Plus swaps.

Nothing is worse than trading a franchise player for a player worse than the franchise player.

There was no way we were ever getting a better player than Harden. You now have draft picks again without hoping Simmons develops a jump shot.

This was a good deal. With more fruit to come. The Morey/ Harden era was ended when Tilman start losing dough.

depends on how good the BK picks far in the future end up being, and how good are scouting and pick selections are

the draft is our only hope for any sustained level of success

I hope we tank and don’t try and remain competitive to try and sneak into the playoffs

The deal was atrocious. Why does everyone care so much about the 29th pick in the draft?

It's not incredible but it's a solid deal for us, especially considering the situation.

Unprotected 1st rounders are the most valuable asset, the Nets are an old team with no talent to develop on their roster, and pretty much no ways to add it going forward, it's always good to bet on teams in their situation.

Swapping LeVert with Dipo and Allen with an additional 1st is also good cause we get more cap space, assets and flexibility out of it.

Pick swaps are useless, as we will have a worse record.
The 3 Brooklyn picks are going to be low first rounders (easier to buy a high second rounder)
The Cleveland pick is from Milwaukee, which will also be a low first.
    Exum/Kurucs are garbage
Oladipo is maxed out potential wise

We just handed Brooklyn the championship. The drama queen got what he wanted by whining. Why not trade his ass to Toronto or Cleveland. Terrible deal.

the only things I really care about from this trade are the unprotected BK pick in 2026, and maybe the unprotected 2024 pick

we pretty much have to hope they end up as premium picks, and then tank to try and keep our top 4 protected picks from conveying to OKC...but I have a feeling they might try to remain competitive like Denver did post-Melo

Well oladiapo is a UFA at the end of the season. The deal is all about having assets to draft and having ability to possibly trade using these picks. Oladiapo free agency would also free up cash for that big free agent class in 2021. It’s a long term play that allows us a lot of flexibility and options. I also see Stones logic in not wanting to be tied up in another max contract with Kyrie or simmons both of whom were on the table but not franchise type players.

Just good it's done. Now let's tank. Let's get the largest collection of draft picks ever assembled. Nobody is untouchable.

From the two final choices reported between Philly/Nets. The nets deal is by far the best one. obviously I've always preferred a herro package from Miami but specifically between Philly/nets. It's not too bad at all

    Oladipo expiring off the books
    4 unprotected 1st rounders
    4 unprotected pick swaps

You're rebuilding. That's the haul you look for when you are going to start from the beginning
