It's true. But now I hope we can trade Fertitta, Tucker, and House to someone for cash considerations and then we'll be on our way to a complete retool.
Levert for Oladipo makes some sense. but I don't understand why we traded Allen. Dude is 22, can start immediately and solves our lack of depth in the frontcourt. Wood/Tucker Allen/Cousins That's a solid PF/C rotation.
Oladipo expires next year. Allen, Levert have multiyears left on their deal. Think about all the payroll expense Tilman is saving next season.
I agree! We should have kept LeVert and Allen. Although Allen did get us the Mil pick from the Cavs? So that might help us pay to ditch EGo eventually? So, to get that pick, it would then be straight up LeVert or Oladipo. Neither one takes us to the promised land, Oladipo is expiring - could be flipped OR just let him expire and see if we can make some cap space (Exum expires too) If we ditch EGo, we'd have close to a max spot to offer in the off-season
LeVert is fake star. Oladipo can ball and be flipped in sign and trade in the summer. Allen is old school center they don't like them like that anymore in Houston. 4 picks. 4 swaps when BKN is over the hill. This trade is not bad with James Hardens acting up lately. Brooklyn is deadly though I can't see any defense stopping them
Allen is getting paid this off season, LeVert has 2 more years left on his deal. Oladipo, Exum are expiring. We got Tilmaned.
He might be, but people forget that when healthy this guy is a top 20 player in the league, and defense top team. Don't believe me he made 17-18 all defensive team. He maybe fully healthy this year, could very much be good here. Also could work his way to a contract to play with Houston for 3 years.
We are rebuilding the whole thing so we want players on expiring deals and picks. No need trying to hold on to players right now. We are officially not trying to win a title at this time.
He was not, is not, and will not ever be top 10 lol...no matter his health situation, let's not be ridiculous
It's because they are going to be overpaid when their contracts run out and they aren't moving the needle.
Sure, but we have two of those already. We need frontcourt depth. And I doubt we can just magically find another big that shoots well that 1) teams want to give up and 2) are cheap.
