Morey, give me a freaking break. You have Simmons who is average 12 pts a game and a rookie who looks promising but is a 6' 3" shooting guard and you are going to mess up this deal to get Harden because of it? I see why Morey struck out with starts so much. He always wanted a star but never would pay fair price.
We should trade him to Washington for Beal, fillers and picks so he can play with Westbrook, his buddy...............
Any trade with Philly includes Simmons. Maxey was the sticking point at the start I remember from rumors when this all started. They want to hang on to him and the Rockets want him in the deal. The rest of the deal I bet is fluff, a few late first round picks and Thybulle whose one dimensional player we'll all love to hate.
It's not just Dork Elvis - it's also Doc Rivers who is not the kind of coach Harden would want to play for at all.
If the Rockets traded for Oladipo, it means they value the $40-$45 million in cap space they would open up more than taking on a bad long-term contract to match Harden’s salary. Oladipo is an unrestricted free agent after the season.
Shows tons of promise... in the regular season versus true nba talent. This is not Greene in the LVSL dropping 30+. I just wished the Rockets could have included him in any deal involving Simmons and picks prior to him breaking out. Rather than on the onset of it.
At this point I wouldn't be surprise if just Simmons and Maxey + cap filler (no picks) is the best offer the Rockets have. There's zero report about Boston offering Brown or Denver offering Murray.
Jimmy Butler and Kyrie Irving on the same team? Kyrie is going to actually be murdered by Butler, like, 3 games after the Heat get him lmao. I'm not sure if the Heat would want to give up Herro + picks for someone so mercurial as Irving. If Irving doesn't want to play basketball next to Kevin freakin' Durant, then the desire for basketball is simply not there anymore.
I don't like it at all. I'm hoping my buddy was just given bad information. Everything points to Philly being a done deal.
Im a big Brown fan, but IMO that was never happening. Too many journalists I respect have maintained for months Brown was not on the table. Add in Ainge's history of being gun shy... I could be wrong but I'm willing to bet it isnt happening and Ainge coming out after the fact that he coulda woulda but didnt.
