He tried to adjust his game. He failed. He's incapable of playing another style. That's why teams are going to severely low ball Stone. Most of those contending teams that Gardrn wants to go to have s very strong identity and culture. A team like Boston might feel like Harden will give the Celtics to alter their identity and play style so drastically it might be too risky along with the fact they are sacrificing a potential 10+ year window of being elite for just 2 or so years of maybe being slightly more favorable to win a title with the small chance of ruining team chemistry.
The only way I can see him winning in current nba is alongside Durant. Harden isoes for 90% of the time but when **** gets tough like vs LA then fresh not fatigued Durant takes the ball and murders them. Any other team that could trade for James lacks true assassin and he can't just iso his way to a ring which is proven and factual
The audacity. This fool comes in to camp late fat & outta shape, demanding a trade & fighting his own teammates in practice. He's spent his whole tenure here not being held accountable by the GM, and now blames his current front office for HIS actions
30 years ago the Hakeem situation was worse. The difference is Hakeem was a professional and didn't quit, and the media firestorm was nowhere near the same. Houston sports can go **** an aids dick right now.
Nwaba is not a good enough starting SF PJ is not a good enough starting PF Wood is not good enough Center AT THE MOMENT. Wall is good enough IF EVERYONE ELSE WAS BETTER.....BUT NOT ON THIS SQUAD and Harden is not good enough right now. Most of this is confusion and hesitancy No one looks like they know what they are suppose to be doing. Harden would look better if he said fucc this offense and does his own thing Which Seems like what Ego and Wall do from time to time Put my head down and go. Rocket River
I think the problem is obviously that they think this is the preseason. They don't look like they know the defensive system yet. Players are out of position constantly. Effort is only so-so... They have more talent than last year. The issue of late is Harden doesn't look right... i think the ankle is worse than he's letting on... i would shut him down a couple of games... When you are losing you get frustrated and react on emotions... there's a lot of season left and the pressure is on Silas to fix...
Failed at what lol, this team is a dumpster fire. There roster has no identity. The spacing is terrible. Don’t assume just because this system is trash(and it is) That Hardem can’t be dominate with anyone else, not true imo. Also Boston does isos with Tatum and Brown just letting you know. But Boston won’t give up Brown so the point is moot
FYI Harden having a horrible season averaging 25/10 on 61 TS% while getting frequently double teamed. What a scrub.
So you’re saying he isn’t a mental midget who whines when he doesn’t get a call and 90% doesn’t run back on D after leading to an easy bucket?
So you’re saying this team with its level of talent actually ever had a chance in hell of contending?
Why won’t he make it? He quits and we don’t have to pay him? Okay even better... We will get a better deal IMO next offseason now that teams know he’s available for sure - we need a team to be like the Lakers who had Lebron get hurt and then have the type year when they had a top pick to go along with Ingram & Co.
Sit his ass down until you can move him. He is out there sulking and its only going to cause teams to lowball Stone.
How many games in our we again? And for those saying “he tried to adapt”...are y’all serious? He didn’t show up to training camp, he NEVER moves off the ball, he’s always been extremely careless with the basketball and he’s shown his true colors this season. Did I think they were going to win a title? No. Competitive? Yes and depending on what happens with Harden being traded I still think it’s possible. The games they’ve lost they have either had a limited roster or played an elite team all while having a new coach come in and having to deal with Harden’s bullshit. Not to mention Wall and Cousins hadn’t played in two years, Wood looks good and I’d personally like to see Wall have a chance at leading this team - the shade he threw at James today was spot on. And there’s a reason he hasn’t been traded: teams like Boston don’t even want to deal Jaylen Brown for him. Oh and it was Hardens dumbass who wanted Westbrook so badly we traded a BETTER player all while giving up every pick we owned essentially.
Harden tanking his trade value almost catastrophically. He’ll probably end up in Minnesota or Charlotte at this rate. I don’t see too many teams wanting to deal with this clown.
