We are in a rebuild. Oladipo is an expiring contract. CJ is signed through 2024. Why would we trade for CJ? We have control over the Nets picks until 2027. Their core is only under contract for 2 years. That’s 5 years of good pick. Portland ain’t giving up 7 picks and CJ for Harden.
You got 4 picks , not 7. Swaps aren’t picks and you won’t use the swap because the Rockets will have the better pick. Brooklyn Nets are a class organization with a great GM and solid coach. If Kyrie and KD leave, they’ll sign new stars like class organizations do. Those picks will be in the 20s.
Perhaps, there is no doubt that they are among the very best . If Kyrie , KD and Harden leave, it might not be easy to replace them though. You can't be absolutely certain of that.
