No punchline except the inferred ironic one, Pole. You haven't seen these? They're standard fare for evangelist Christians. When I lived in Houston my mailbox was littered with this exact type of comic strip about once a month. Nothing against Christ -- I'm not Christian but I'm very much in favor of his teachings. This is just further proof of the fallability -- and laughability -- of his most vocal supporters.
p.s. Swap Dungeons and Dragons for dancing and you have Footloose. Swap it for homosexuality -- while a minority of priests molest young boys and go unpunished -- and you have the reason no serious person can take the Church seriously. Delete this post or move it to the proper forum -- either way, I don't care. But this kind of stuff reminds why I hate religion and why I don't understand why God doesn't go Noah's Ark on it. If he exists after all, you gotta think this kind of stuff makes him madder than hell.
I hate the whole D&D is satanic movement. I play D&D every weekend, and it does not influence anything in my real life. Every time I hear someone say the game is "evil" I want to smack them. By the way...at no time have I been lured to a cult by playing d&d, nor have I ever got suicidal tendencies when a character of mine died. As others have pointed out, that comic is flat-out bull.
Anybody seen the new Kirk Cameron show on TBN? It is the best. He and some Australian guy basically demonstrate how the Bible says you can go to hell if you don't go out and try to convert with all of your might. There is usually a screen with flames on it behind them when they say this. Then, they give you "tools" for converting people. One such exampe is to explain Adam and Eve by saying that Jesus existed and came from a real mother...so that means that humans had to come from somewhere and Jesus directly descended from Adam...so of course Adam existed. Then they show the Australian guy converting people on the street and how much the people enjoy him opening their eyes. They also read a poem written by a "non-believer" where he scolds a Christian friend for not converting him because now he will go to hell. I love that show.
I gotta check that out, what time does it come on. As I don't have a relationship with my brother anymore, it's the closest thing I'll have. It's gotta be a 100 on the Unintentional Comedy Scale.
Oh my! I need to go home right now and destroy all my Black Sabbath, Pantera, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc albums now because rock music is evil!!! My sentiments exactly. Is it little wonder that there aren't more Christians out there? But thanks to idiotic tripe like that, it defeats the very purpose it is trying to accomplish.
