If the rockets lose the series to the Fakers, San Antonio's Bruce Bowen will have a field day with Karla Malone. Anyone remember how players complained about how dirty Bruce Bowen was?? Couple of instances with Ray Allen, Vince Carter, and Micheal Finley anyone?? Trust me Karla will get a taste of his own medicine in the next round if he gets there. Fakers will lose to the spurs in 4 or 5 games for sure. Spurs will spank the Fakers.

If the Lakers move on to face SA, the Spurs will win. But Bowen is a SF and will be guarding perimeter players (like those you mentioned) and not an interior PF like Malone. Bowen will most likely guard Kobe.

Either way, Karla will NEVER get a ring of his own.

A nose ring maybe for all of his bull... but no championship.

Nobody's dirtier than Karl Malone in the history of the league. Period. Bowen doesn't come close. Oakley was one of the last active players that did (and that I somehow avoided hating for it). JVG's biggest mistake this year was failing to work Oak in a little more so he wouldn't leave. Five minutes a game from him in this series would have been huge. I'm not sure I would have traded that for Boki vs. Karl though. That was classic.

    AMEN to this.

How about starting a thread about what is actually going on, instead of what you pessimists think?

Remember, 3-1 against Phoenix in 1994...

Check out the word "if" in the title of this thread. If you don't get it, I can explain it to you.

    Just let me know.

Hadn't thought about that, but wow -- you're exactly right.

In fact I would've been happy with just 5 minutes of Oak in Game 4. He could've gotten Karl out of the zone he was in that first half with a couple good shots to the solar plexus.

Plus, it would've been classic watching two 40 year olds go at it in the playoffs. When do you see that outside of the YMCA?

Oakley's current offensive skill level makes Kelvin Cato look like Jamaal Magliore around the basket. Without the injury to Spoon, Oakley's not even worth my energy to type a response.

Dude, what's with the condescension? I'm talking 5 minutes to bang around Malone who was getting open jump shot after open jump shot.

Where did I say "put Oak in and run the pick and roll with him"?

I think Oakley was signed in light of a possible match up with the Lakers in the playoffs. But then, it didn't look like we would get the Lakers until the last days of the regular season. (Who would've thought the Kings would collapsed like that at the end?) Oakley wouldn't be any use against the Kings or the T-wolves. Plus, Oakley has shown that he had no offensive game left in his tank.
