    Going after liars sounds great but then everyone is just going to fight over who the arbiters of truth are. They literally do not believe anything that does not fit their narrative and I don't see that changing any time soon. I mean the election was stolen in R strong holds apparently, judged without merit by R judges and then they picked up R seats but lost the presidency yet somehow someway it was still a stolen election. They just can't think critically.

    Also Facebook needs to turn their algorithms off, they create echo chambers on the platform by their grouping tech, this stops people from having a back and forth - which at least forces people to realize that they are getting misinformation, or that not everyone agrees with their position.

    Therefore they are probably not as emboldened thinking that everyone thinks like them - and are less prone to extremism.

    I think new laws are coming for social media.

    I'm afraid of this too. Reminds me of Thaksin and how he's still inciting protests in Thailand from overseas after fleeing 12+ years ago. He still has a lot of sway with rural voters despite himself being a billionaire elite. Thaksin's cause may be more justified but the result could be similar, long term civil unrest that keeps popping up... Seemingly forever
