Blacklisting happens in law and in other profession. If you are unprofessional, you lose your license to medically operate on a person, to be a lawyer. Usually, it's due to some unethical conduct that get you "blacklisted". The purpose is to maintain high ethics and professionalism. While there is no such list for PR or media, why would it be unethical to have one? As we have seen in other fields, having one is to raise professionalism and ethical behaviors. In news and media, the truth is very important and we have seen how much it has suffered under lies or perceived lies. If they want to improve their performance, perhaps they should have a higher standard and blacklist those, at least temporary, breaking standards. Don't lie!
