Uninterested & 26/ 11ast / 5. Damn if we had a few more uninterested guys we might be alright. Seriously, Silas doesn’t want the guy playing hero ball. His shots are down by design, James is an average defender overall and has lazy turnovers. This has always been the case. The team isn’t very good right now.
He is at 26 ppg because of his first 3 games. The last 4 games since his ankle issue read like this. (38.5 minutes) 20 pts Lakers 15 pts Magic 15 pts Pacers 21 pts Mavs That's what you expect from Wall, Ego or Wood.
these are not very good stats for someone with 40 mil pay and 7 live ball turnovers that probably costed rockets 10-15 easy points
He's got a different role in the offense (Silas doesn't want Iso ball & Harden's shot att are down by design) , he's going along to get along & he does not want to be here. Tillman went cheap at GM & HC and essentially quit trying to win the chip. He wants out like Morey, MDA & Westbrook.
Trade him. The guy wants out and the owner has quit long ago. If we trade for a guy that gets 26/11/ 5, it would be a good get.
But, he's also had 44 assists in those 4 games. The only thing that's letting Harden down at the moment is his 3pt shooting. Yet again, I'm not surprised about that. Harden does go through patches where he'll miss a lot of his 3pt shots. Mostly down to the fact he shoots a lot of difficult 3pt shots. Also, Harden has only had 19 free throw attempts in his last 4 games. That's well below his average. Then you look at Wall. He has not scored or assisted that much in his last 4 games. He's had 3 14 point games and just 1 28 point game. He's also only had 16 assists in those 4 games. That's pretty bad considering how much he's had the ball. Just saying, I don't think Harden and Wall work well together. We're sacrificing our best scorer just so Wall can fit in. We're trying to let Wall go crazy but he just isn't stepping up in most of his games.
Yall wanted less ISO and more "TEAM" right? This is it. Harden is just shrugging his shoulders and running what the coach wants to run. "Getting everyone involved" and now he's washed? LMAO. I wonder how long before Silas looks him deep in his eyes and says "James - please save us" and James just grins and responds "thought you'd never ask coach" want to know what the biggest black eye is? On full display last night. LA has role players who can hit shots - and at the very least OPEN shots. Houston continues to have guys who duck and chuck.
The system didn't make him miss all those step back 3's. as Harden ages, he will rely more and more heavily in his step back 3's. And when he isn't hitting them it affects his drives too. At least he is doing the right passes and setting up his teammates
It’s still crazy Lukas usage rate under Silas was crazy high and the ball was in his hands all the time. It’s like he think Harden isn’t on Lukas level which is comical.
One thing that may come out of this is that Wall will probably want to leave if Harden stays. I would gladly trade him if it meant getting a real shooter, who can defend, make his own shot and play well off the ball. The 2-point guard lineup has not proven to work unless, such as the case of CP3, the opposite PG can make shots while playing off the ball and run the 2nd unit when James sits.
He is doing what Silas wants him to do . Play off the ball and let Wall run the offense. When he gets the ball, drive and dishthe ball. His reduction on offense is by design. Watch the games Harden is having career low usage this season and that Is BY DESIGN
