I dont think I have the mental capacity to enter that realm and I know you dont. One doesnt have to be exclusive to the other. Same as a person dropping their snowcone and a kid getting bullied at school. Both are sad. Good job, good effort thoe. You posted an "at" symbol, what you are looking for is an ampersand.
You’re right I don’t have the capacity for that area. All I want is for the state of our Houston franchises and our union to succeed
It won’t take that long with Watson because Watson will get you a tier or two higher than the sum of your parts by himself. Every incremental team improvement he can go out and get you a few more wins with. I can see us winning the division again in 2 years.
The roster blows. Deshaun knows they won't compete for 2-3 years at a minimum and that is IF they get lucky finding players in the later rounds of the draft... which this team never does. It doesn't matter who they hire to run this disaster. Every level of the defense needs to be overhauled, and the offensive line has not performed up to the level of investment the Texans have made in it. Just tear it down. Trade JJ, Deshaun, and Tunsil Cut McKinney, Roby, David Johnson, Duke Johnson, Fulton, and anyone else you can.
what bizarro planet is this response from?? they were the two candidates recommended by the search firm they hired. As such one should have been hired as being the most qualified (theoretically). That they were minorities is incidental... EXCEPT it’s another thing that confirms the passive racism that is inherent to the McNair family. and the stupidity. At least hide it by directing the search firm to not use the final two candidates as minorities. And how about having the search firm put Casiero on the list and as a finalist?
Replacing Black interm Head Coach with a white guy. Filtering through about a hundred white quarterbacks before settling on the first black quarterback you give an opportunity to turns out to be better than all of them. Yea the Texans are being examined and kind of makes you wonder....
Maybe the Texans can trade Watson to the Dolphins for that #3 pick back and draft a Christian fundamentalist QB.... that would be a perfect way to cap the Tunsil trade.
Caserio was on the list, might not have been their recommendation. Dungy advised Cal to go with his gut. There is no subtle or passive racism with this franchise. There may be nepotism, ineptitude and overly religious. I can see those. But claiming passive racism is just someone looking for something. The way it was phrased for Deshaun was he was unhappy about EB, not the GM hires. It could be misinterpreted, but the way it sounded was he was upset a minority coach wasn’t being interviewed. And that wasn’t socially acceptable. That is backwards thinkings as it gets. There were several minority interviews, with more to come. But there shouldn’t be pressure to hire a minority just because of their skin color. They should be hired because they are qualified.
You must be a casual fan, not first black QB in this franchise history. Stop looking for something that isn’t there. Really devalues real racism.
Are you serious? The Dolphins can easily make a deal for Watson. The Dolphins can build their trade around... the #3 pick they got from the Texans! LMFAO what a **** show organization ... it is like Larry David sitcom of comic incompetence
Number 3 pick and Tua isn’t remotely close to value. Lawrence plus additional picks would be mote palatable. No disagreement with the franchise ineptitude. But Miami would have to attach every value pick they have for a while to get Watson.
where are you getting this from? According to the ESPN article - “Multiple people in the Texans organization, including but not limited to quarterback Deshaun Watson, were upset with how Houston's search took a sudden and unexpected turn, hiring a man that Korn Ferry did not include on its list of candidates.“
I’m trying to find the tweet from a couple days ago. From a Texans beat writer/insider, there was talk that he wasn’t but he actually was. Now, who to believe is a different story. And just being on the list doesn’t mean final recommendation.
Compare the number of white quarterbacks to black quarterbacks who were given an opportunity to win the job. You will find a huge discrepancy.
Texans beat-writer is probably getting his info from the Texans, who have every incentive to push a narrative that Caserio was on the search firm's list rather than Easterby doing his thing and conning Cal.
