If you’re bored you could also try roasting your own coffee or just switching the brewing methods. Roasting your own green beans is pretty easy and you can find them at most farmers markets. I think I’ve got like 10 methods of making coffee (machine, French press, pour over, Chemex, Vietnamese, Aeropress, percolator, cold brew pitcher) and some of them serve purposes. Otherwise I agree with others that you need to find a local place that roasts their own coffee.

I think the bulletproof ground coffee has a lot of spice added. I personally hate those coffees and the bulletproof butter/fat coffee fad thing is bogus.

Go to Hugo's and get their coffee with Case Nobles tequila. No need for a science experiment. Lulz!

Cafe De Olla by Katz Coffee. Local H town brand. ****ing delicious. A bit sugary but a real enjoyable cup of coffee.

If you can get the real stuff it’s good. We had some when we were in Vietnam few years back. They sell fake versions so do your research

I wanted to buy a little just to try it out, but most of the stuff on Amazon or being exported to most places is "fake" from what I understand? I also heard they treat those civets pretty badly, so eh... I don't need to try it that much. lol.

Katz Coffee is solid as well (as evidenced in one of my posts in this thread). They're local to H-Town.

Then you should try the other four. If you make me force rank that list, Boomtown is #5 (but that's not a criticism). Grocery store coffee would be like 100. :)

OP if you’re still looking around my daughter suggests another of our local roasters that ships: fortyweightcoffee.com

She says they’re even better than the other one I mentioned
