I love coffee but I'm getting incredibly bored with everything I've been buying lately. I have a small bar filled with half full bags of the typical brands you find at the grocery store with a few odd balls. I normally drink it black but sometimes I put a little sweet cream, foam, vanilla...hot or cold. Any good brands online I should try to order? Hopefully some that are reasonably priced.
Why not scope out the local coffee shops? They usually have their own roasts/blends you can buy. Tried a local Austin one the other week and its way better than the standard pike's place i get from the store.
I'm out in the middle of nowhere with no choices and when I do make it to the nearest town the choices are grocery store, donut shop
Café Gaviña Espresso Roast Extra... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EX4ED2Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this stuff is pretty good and priced right. I have use a siphon and it makes the best cup I’ve ever had.
If you like espresso blends, this one is great. Cafe Medici used it before they switched to their own blend. https://spyhousecoffee.com/collections/shop/products/orion-espresso

Houston? I like this place - http://www.giantleapcoffee.com/ - and they get their coffee from - https://amayacoffee.com/collections/coffee.
Like Bulletproof ground coffee and HEB Houston blend. Pretty much it but not a coffee snob but both taste good black
Ruta Maya Dark Roast. We grind the beans every morning and enjoy. They're a local Austin company that started as a coffee shop on W. 4th, I believe. It's shade grown 100% organic whole Arabica beans, the very finest grown in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico by 1500 Mayan farmers. They get the green beans from there and roast them here in Austin. Says so right on the bag. Costco and HEB carries it now. I used to buy it at the coffee shop. Comes in kilo bags sealed up with the date it was roasted stamped on the bag. I open one up and the smell makes my mouth water. I've never tried their other roasts. We know what we like.
Bulletproof sounds a little too proud, bro. Is it like a Black Rifle. For some reason I like the San Antonio or Hill Country blend over H-Tine.
Apparently, Black Rifle Coffee Company is preferred by a lot of the...cough..."Trump patriots". Or, at least their apparel...like caps...are. Is that what you are referring to?
Ha. No idea my wife buys it at Whole Foods. They have some bullshit marketing ploy which makes them get away with charging more. I like the San Antonio as well but she doesn’t like it sadly.
The Ruta Maya dark roast in the kilo bags is what I usually drink most of the time with some occasional change of pace stuff from local coffee shops. It comes out great using a French press.
Trippple espresso, shot of kahlua, shot of bailey's, shot of frangellico. Adjust milk/sugar as needed.
