The adviser told me that Trump expressed disgust on aesthetic grounds over how “low class” his supporters looked. “He doesn’t like low class things,” the adviser said, explaining that Trump had a similar reaction over the summer to a video of Brad Parscale, his former campaign manager, shirtless and drinking a beer in his driveway during a mental health emergency in which police tackled him and seized his weapons. “He kept mentioning, ‘Oh, did you see him in his beer shirt?’ He was annoyed. To him, it’s just low class, in other words.” https://nymag.com/intelligencer/amp...-him-a-fascist.html?__twitter_impression=true
Yeah but not private jet Karen the Dallas realtor - she's high class, she's gonna survive and thrive ]
Sutff like this though has always been part of the con. It plays upon two basic drives in humanity. Resentment and aspiration. On the surface those seem to be work against each other but they really go hand in hand and are essential parts of get rich quick schemes. Resentment is the argument "these people think they are so better than us" appealing to class grievance against 'elites'. Aspiration is "I'm going to tell you the secrets of how they do it" In other words "I'm just like you and with my help we're going to get rich too and stick it to the fat cats." In many ways this explains how Trump can essentially look down upon his supporters while still maintaining devotion.
all I could see were missing teeth, beer bellies, and clogged arteries throughout much of the crowd of insurgents
I used to work corporate (on the inside) for a start-up, fast-growing MLM company (like Amway). We partnered with a lot of con artists to help us market the "curriculum" and Trump was a prime target. Wound up settling for a different rich white outsider Presidential Nominee. You'd pay these charismatic people to help you build your brand and enroll idiots into throwing their money away. I got out fast. Learned a lot though. People are so easily influenced it's wild.
You'd think the $300 million 'Save America' Pac money could have bought everyone matching Tee Shirts. The kids could have shot them from air launchers from the podium.
Excited by the action and disgusted by the look. I'm never been there but I've heard stories. "This adviser, who spoke to Trump on Wednesday amid the siege, said Trump watched the events on television intently. CNN reported that he was so excited by the action, it “freaked out” some staffers around him"
While the riots were going on trump was confused why staff members weren’t excited as he were. go to 2:50 minute part of the video. Where are all the pro trump lovers on this forum now?
A bunch of those people turn out to be CEOs, realtors and other professionals, but still manage to look low-class. Class is not necessarily an income level or an occupation. People watch Hollywood actors on screen all day and don't realize that they don't look nearly as cool without the benefit of all that training and repeated takes.
Oh they are here and are following along intently. They’ll just sit quiet waiting for the moment to try and whataboutism their way into excusing the insurrection in an indirect way. Just watch for Foxnews to start crafting talking points on the Monday prime time shows. The “it was Antifa” talking point was never going to hold because of too much in your face evidence. They know their viewers want to believe they are the heroes of their own story and just need to give them an out that what happened was actually okay because of the Democrats/Socialism/Communism etc etc. By Tuesday they’ll be scripted for their response. Bank on it.
