Good. It's a start, at least. Sure, he'll probably just move to Parler and be in his lovely echo chamber here. That's fine. I hope our intelligence agencies are keeping a close eye on Parler. There's obviously still more work to be done, on multiple fronts. I understand the risks and concerns some have raised about perma-banning him. Yes, it may make the country even more divided. Yes, Big Tech's power is an issue that needs to be addressed in the near future. But right now, it's more important to "cancel" Trump and his ilk (family, media enablers, prominent grifters, etc.) as much as realistically possible. He crossed the point of no return with the Jan 6 Capitol embarrassment.
Not sure exactly, but during/ after his time out he kept posting things to incite his followers -- we must be peaceful even though THEY STOLE OUR LANDSLIDE ELECTION we love law and order EVEN THOUGH THE LIBERALS ARE RAPING DEMOCRACY (etc). They made him delete the posts but apparently said enough is enough. This is just a theory though no one I've read actually saw what he was posting so it could have just been his history and political pressure.
