I was responding to your assertion by pointing out that since we have never seen a similar situation (i.e. insurrectionist killed mid-insurrection) involving a minority death and resulting reaction to that death, you have little basis to claim public reaction to one would be more outraged than the other. it's an empty comparison of incomparable fact patterns, kind of like trying to compare basketball players across eras based solely on statistics or arguing ryan tannehil is a better quarterback than deshaun watson because the titans are winning more games than the texans, while ignoring all the context that results in those outcomes. sure you can make the assertion, but it's pretty flimsy.

ironically, i think the new point you are making with your example of the minnesota bar owner contradicts your original point - just because he was a minority didn't result in more outrage than if he was white.
