Basically this. China doesn't want anyone doing anything in their country that might bring shame upon them. I'm not surprised by this move. It's a shame because the scientific community would benefit from understanding the origins better and how this virus made the jump. We really need to know if there are more of these viruses lying in the shadows of the bat and bird population.
It's a shame America is a ****ing clown show right now, the world could really use a cohesive effort to crack down on this garbage.

Not surprised. The CCP knows that there is little good for them that can come from a WHO investigation and on top of the US pulling out of WHO along with the shyteshow this week they feel they have plenty of rhetorical cover to do so.
