I see a lot of people in here trying to reason with a dude who thinks Deshaun Watson isn't a good quarterback. I think you'd have a more productive discussion with a house plant.

1 dead, 3 in the hospital in critical condition with "non-violent" complications.

I'm guessing heart attacks on the 3.

Everyone wants to believe they are the heroes in their stories. They can’t deal with the reality that MAGA is actually everything they think they are fighting.

I saw a lot of avoirdupois in those images today. I'm surprised that Medicare scooters didn't form a mechanized brigade in the fight against socialism

Most of the nation voted against Trump. Most of those that did vote for Trump don't believe his lies about the election. There are some that do, but it isn't close to half of the nation.

But having a mistaken idea of support for Trump might be what helps folks beleive beleive the lies about election fraud.

About 20 years ago I read a book about the American education system. It's based off the Prussian (German) system. The Prussians lost a war which rarely happened. The king blamed the discipline of the troops. To fix this they implemented compulsory education that emphasized discipline. It was very Pavlovian - ring a bell, change classes. Behavior and discipline was much more prized than learning.
Fast forward a few decades and American educators were touring Germany looking for a model to emulate in the United States. This was the early 1900's. Anyway they decided the German system was great and should be implemented in the US. Mindless automatons would be great for factories. It was called the factory learning model.
So as we know the Germans became Nazis and everyone wondered why. How could an educated populace fall for a megalomaniac. After reading this book I immediately thought about how the education system helped lead to fascism. Anyway I speculated at the time that we (America) might become susceptible to fascism because of our education system and we were about 50 year behind Germany. So the 2000's might be about right for it to happen here. Anyway I kind of blew this theory off because it didn't happen. Then Trump came along. So long story short, I'm drunk and had to get this off my chest. I believe education is playing a huge (uuge) part in today events.
