It took them an hour or so to breach the halls of congress. Trump and Cruz demonstrating their lack of respect for Democracy as well as law and order. Remember how upset these same groups were when rioters and looters acted unlawfully in protests against the police? Why aren't they outraged over this? Remember when Democrats were called sore losers? I guess we see who was and wasn't genuine in their outrage.
They knew and they were not ready for this crap? National Guard has been requested and the US capital has been breached.
If the police and Guard don't get control of this, then the people on the other side need to show up in numbers. This can't just be one-sided.

Yep. Like yelling "fire!" in a crowded theater. It's amazing how well Trump has suckered so many of his supporters. It's also why Dems took the senate--IIRC, exit polls showed that 56 or 57% of GA voters yesterday said they were turned off by Trump's post-election insanity. That's ballgame and that's why we took the senate. Hope it was worth the whining, Trump. So today is an active news day but we always knew it would be, just not the extent of it. I agree that this will probably be done overnight, after the 6pm curfew the DC mayor recently announced.
I grew up watching peaceful black people get beaten, sprayed with water hoses and set upon by dogs simply by marching for their civil rights that were guaranteed by the Constitution. Hell, I spent 3 weeks in an East texas jail for daring to register black people to vote. Black people have a peaceful protest march get tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets. You have a mob of White people storm the US Congress and nothing happens. This is what America is all about. It's all out in the open now.
