Exactly society and the NFL culture as a whole has moved on. Patriots way was for 2000 - 2018. It's 2021 now. That era is done.
I'm not furious, but this seems like the most "Texans" move they could have made, which is immensely disappointing. At this point you just want to see anything different from the franchise aside from to the most boring and safe thing possible. It's not asschin, so I'm more optimistic than I was, but it certainly dampens it ..a lot.
There is absolutely a Texans way. In what world would the Patriot way, all the way down to the Jaguar way, would a professional team go the last two years like this clown show. 2018 Hire Gaine 2019 Fire Gaine without a locked in replacement Try to sneak Caserio while under contract Get caught and make Olsen interim GM 2020 Olsen fired, let's wing it at GM for season GM position rewarded to the HC who just lost on a 51-7 run GM/HC fired (snake retained) 2021 who the hell cares Mcdaniels HC, Patricia DC, BOB brought back as offensive assistant to appease the 10% of texans fans left who think BOB was wrongfully terminated.
I was thinking it could be about the news of the officers in the Jacob Blake shooting not being charged. Deshaun has been vocal about George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and racial justice so this would fit in line with that.
Jack Easterby is Littlefinger from Game of Thrones. He is that snake who was advising Henry Ford II in Ford and Ferrari. He is that troll who controlled the king in Lord of the Rings. He is a self serving con man who is nothing more than a self help coach you could find on Craigslist. On those comparisons Cal McNair is the gloating, know nothing Henry Ford II - just has a lot of money and can throw it around as he see's fit and will allow bootlickers to wipe his ass for him and give them special little privileges. Thats the culture at play. Nothing to do with the players at all. A hierarchy based on backstabbing and faux spirituality. Like Deshaun said last night "Some things never change"
In what world does an owner fly out to bring in a candidate?????? wtf??? in the Texans world. Just wow
How much did McNair pay Korn Ferry just to go rogue anyway and make the decision on his own (well with Easterby whispering softly in his ear of course)? I would have done nothing like Korn Ferry, but for half the price! LOL
I thought initially it was about the heisman vote. in the end, this is how good Watson is... could be about a number of things and they’re all applicable! That’s my QB...
Thats probably true and one of the main reasons he signed a short deal to begin with. He wont waste his career here and some guys will enjoy going back to arguing about the QB carousel witout a franchise guy and enjoy being mediocre at best. Franchise will never amount to much with a momma's boy like Cal McNair in charge.
Just curious, how would that tweet be about the Heisman vote? A WR won for the first time in 20+ years.
Texans are the worst franchise in Football, I say they trade Watson for a 7th round pick so he can not waste his prime on horrible franchise.
Olsen wasn’t the sole interim GM. It was a GM by committee consisting of BoB/Eaterby/Olsen until BoB/Easterby convinced Cal to fire the only person with contract experience in the group. What followed after was a rash of horrible contracts/decisions that have us way above the cap at the current moment. Should also note that Easterby was the guy who tampered and got the whole Caserio deal nixed the first time. Yet not only has the guy kept his job, he has actually been promoted along the way. Cal is as dumb as they come.
They lost in the CFP championship game last year. This year they lost in the semis. Two years ago they won in the championship game. All different outcomes, stop reaching.
