More Eric Gordon is not the answer to any problem.

i still don't know what Silas offense is, Harden is still most effective playing iso and pick-and-roll, defense is the biggest problem

 

All credibility behind thought process lost when saying "sign Michael Beasley"

 

So far this season, OP has suggested we build a team around CJ McCollum, Michael Beasley, and Jeremy Lin.

 

Love Tucker but he looks disinterested at times. Not sure if his lingering contract issue is affecting his play but he’s not playing to his potential. Yes, he can still defend a bit, but his offense is almost non-existent at this point. That like playing 4 on 5 when you’re up against a team that puts 5 players on the court that can score.

I’m not sold on Beasley. I’d rather see the Rockets trade House and possibly Tucker for a quality 4 in the mood of Harris, Holmes, Millsap, or Randle. Guys that score inside and out, and not just shoot a corner 3. Guys that can rebound amongst the bigs. I mean, if anything, last night was a reminder that we need Cousins to guard the paint and rebound since Wood is too weak to defend against stringer centers.

 

Team needs more time - it's clear they are still figuring things out. A lot of new guys with inexperience - Wood, Tate, etc. Guys who aren't familiar playing with one another.

Give it 20 games before judging.

 

Or 80 games.

 

I see Tucker and House are dropping this year. The new joiners are not able to replace their positions. It requires an upgrade for small forward and then the power forward position. The best postion for Gordon is sixth men in the bench. Also he does not have 6 ft 9 inches, Beasley is good player for short term. Maybe Tucker wants a big contract and doesn't have heart to play, Ironically, Gernald Green is a player who has heart but he is cut.

 

I would rather have GG than Beasley.

 

Both end of rotation guys.

Rockets need a solution for starter at 3/4.

PJ Tucker IS NOT A MOTION OFFENSE PLAYER
Because when the ball gets in his hands in motion . . . . HE IS NOT A SCORING THREAT AT ALLL . . . . NOT EVEN A LAYUP!!!!
So . . .the Defense plays to get the ball to PJ and then play passing lanes. . . leave the basket pretty much unguarded

House is not great on the move either. Two Dribbles and I have no trust
Catch and shoot
Catch and dunk
Catch - two steps and Dunk
Good

Anything beyond that is cringe worthy.
Defenses make sure PJ is not in the corner
Play passing lanes
be ready for the rebound

Now you have Harden, Wall and Wood
playing on 5. . . .. and if the Refs not going to call defensive 3 seconds. . . well
Wood is doubles in a congested lane
Harden is doubled. .. . giving the ball to Wall
Teams will live with him taking the 3 or long jumper
The packed lane inhibits his driving but he is still successful with it . ..
unless the Refs allow him to be hacked to hell without a call

I dunno if Ego is the lesser Wall or Greater house .
His dribble looks bad but is effective
His 3 ball is better than both
I would not want him to direct the offense like Wall
but he is better than House with the dribble.

I like the Young Guns. . . no plays called for them

I'm ready to move on from Tucker but doubling down on bad defensive players is called the wrong direction.
