I understand why you said it, I just don’t agree that the early numbers are “meaningless” in the context of understanding the runoff. Especially with the data we have from the presidential election happening just a couple months ago.
Betting markets, which tend to be pretty good at evaluating outstanding votes and where they are from/etc have both Dems at 80% now, so that's another little positive sign.
The NYT election meter still have toh Warnock and Ossoff both winning it as well. And it was actually a very good predictor during the election.
69% in...Loeffler and Perdue have increased their leads the remaining Dem strongholds will have to come through...let’s get it ATL
Is this not expected? It looks like republican counties are getting a slight republican bump and democrat counties are getting a slight democrat bump over the general election. The key will be the turnout in the large democrat counties and I'll bet they finish counting last because they have a higher population. Then republicans will claim voter fraud when the election flips over night.
Maybe it's the frequency of seeing it in November but this minute by minute horserace "analysis" by sites like 538 is mostly bs and just as rigged to pull in eyeballs If Georgia turns bluish-purple I hope their economy rises and separates itself from the dirty South.
Early on, it looked like Dems were overperforming even in GOP counties (maybe GOP voters not turning out, or people not liking the Perdue/Loeffler fraud accusations). But that seems to have fizzled a bit.
I don't know about political this or that but I do know that in the general election Purdue was way way up on Ossoff. The fact that he can only gain like a point advantage or so at this stage of the game is pretty concerning I would think for the Republicans.
Pulling out a good luck charm, the Warnock Pinchers, who foretold of this election over 20 years ago.
he finished ahead by around 2 points back in November...the Republicans do seem concerned, but I remain anxious
The point is is that he was like six points back until Atlanta and Cobb county came in or whatever and Ossoff kept chipping away. David Perdue needed to run up to score in the early returns and he hasn't.
You still don't seem to grasp that the order of vote counting is not the same as November. Literally nothing you have said in this thread is correct. At all. Please stop.
their leads have slowly been increasing, but I’m hoping any big remaining metro areas will flip the script...they are where all my hopes lie
