...and then ESPN will either not come out with an article, or the article will be "Harden is back on Curry's level"

This article should be read and actually understood for those who seek to continue in The Curry Warriors / Harden Rockets discussion.

Curry can’t shoulder the burden Harden can.

Teams build strategies based on personnel. If you thought our Rockets rosters should have played like The Warriors then your understanding of our personnel was lacking.

I think the biggest advantage of Harden over many other superstars is his durability. There are other players who have comparable talent and skills as Harden (in different styles). But their bodies just can't handle the load and cannot produce consistently year in year out. The only other superstar I can think of who has that level of durability is LeBron.

    Game 2:
Harden had 27 points on 9-24 shooting (including 3-15 from 3pt), 10 rebounds, and 3 assists.
PJ Tucker had 22 points on 8-9 shooting (including 5-6 from 3pt), 7 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Trevor Ariza had 19 points on 7-9 shooting, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Eric Gordon had 27 points on 8-15 shooting (including 6-9 from 3pt), 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

How can you say that Harden was the best Rocket in game 2?

    Game 4:
Harden had 30 points on 11-26 shooting (including 3-12 from 3pt), 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
    CP3 had 27 points on 10-20 shooting (including 5-9 from 3pt), 2 rebounds, and 4 assists.

How can you say that Harden outperformed Chris Paul in game 4?

    Doesn't surprise me.

Both built like football players. They can withstand tons of contact.

But the foot and leg issues, they did escape those so far.

He is hands down the most potent scorer Alltime in regular season games and some playoff games.

Yes. He was the engine that got those guys open looks because of the gravity he created and got a gang of hockey assist by his penetration. Funny how that gravity thing only works when propping up Curry.

Chris Paul was 6-19 in Game 5 and had the worst +/- on the team but was by far the best Rocket in the game if you actually watched the game and weren't boxscore watching.

But he wasn't making shots. His teammates were. You can't ignore their efficiency and Harden's inefficiency.

And therein lies the double standard. When Curry shoots poorly and the Warriors win, then he's "carried" by his teammates. But when Harden shoots poorly and the Rockets win, he's somehow still the best Rocket on the court.

You can't have it both ways.

Harden is the most disrespectful NBA player of all time. The amount of times he drops big points and assists.... and he isn't even considered an MVP candidate.

In other words, you're being intentionally subjective while I'm maintaining objectivity.

The 2018 series is surprising, isn't it? So many posters claim that Harden carried the Rockets to 7 games against the greatest team ever assembled, but in reality, he wasn't the best Rocket in any of their wins.

Now we're supposed to believe Draymond and Klay are superstars so Curry doesn't get credit

klay and draymond have both made the all star team. klay made an all nba team before. klay had 60 in 29 minutes... and multiple big game explosion including having 14 3's in a game. draymond is a former dpoy. are these guys scrubs to you. I swear you curry stans can be delusional at times

i believe iggy, klay and draymon were on the olympic team together as well. they dont just choose any nba player to be on those teams

Lol I don't think they're scrubs. But a team led by Draymond and klay would be far from great.

You realize they blow up because curry is drawing so much attention right

Klay and Draymond would be sucessful next to other superstars. They are All NBA players, Curry doesnt make them that. They are both HOFs. Draymond who's highest value is on the defensive end is not because of Curry.

Sure they would be successful. I'm saying they aren't contenders without curry

I'm holding him to Harden standards, who has never missed the playoffs no matter who was on the team. You think Curry is a top 20 player. Those guys rarely missed the playoffs.

No, he doesn't. And yes, I could list teams with worse supporting casts, but it's a pointless exercise to go that route with you when you keep trying to call an elite player like Draymond a bum.

Yeah Steph’s not very good. 2 MVP’s, 3 championships, 5 straight Finals appearances. Literally anyone could do that!

Hot take sports culture feeds off dummies lol
