Westbrook just beat Durant's ass and the Nets are 3-4. The series vs the Rockets in 2019 was 2-2 and they lost Kevin Durant. Harden proceeded to play like ass and Curry blew up. It was only 1.5 games because the Warriors beat the Rockets 4-2, and afterwards Harden demanded the CP3 be traded for Westbrook
Bye with that bullshit. After going down 3-1 to OKC, he had 31, 31 ad 36 to close the series. The Cavs had a great game plan to actually make him try to play d (because he sucks at it) and that impacts your offense on the other end. And the refs were allowing them to be physical with him. Imagine that. Curry got exposed once they faced a team with comparable talent, that didn't have a key player out with injury. They needed more help to beat LeBron and went and got it.
And after Chris Paul got hurt, Harden played like crap. Curry does have 3 rings, and 1 even if you don't count the ones with Durant, even though he's better than Durant
Harden didn't play like crap (we can look in my sig and see what happened). Ariza played like crap tho going 0-11
Meh, it's pretty obvious he wasn't 100%. Not sure how a guy who already won a ring was exposed but ok
Rockets had guys that could create for themselves too, you're better than this HP3 (stop with the false narrative bro). You gotta see what the other guys got on each given night. You are acting like Harden was out there playing with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers or something. It didn't have to be just James Harden and nobody else. That kind of mindset might win games in the regular season, fill the box score with a bunch of individual stats, but that play style won't win much in the playoffs (even Kobe said as much). None of what I am saying is a foreign concepts to you HP3, you get it.
Only on clutchfans one can ask if back-to-back mvp and multitime champion can carry a team in comparsion to guy who never been in finals as a leader
He won a ring in a year where every single team he faced had someone out with injury, and it took him 6 games to get past LeBron minus Kyrie and Love. The irony of blaming his loss on injury. He was exposed because he clearly wasn't able to beat LeBron when he was playing with help. He had to go out and add a better player...big brother Durant...to beat LeBron with help.
Game 7. Fouled on a 3 pointer @ 3:39 in the 1st quarter Fouled on a 3 pointer @ 3:03 in the 1st quarter 4 point play called off @ 9:31 in the 3rd quarter 10 potential points taken from by Scott Foster. Harden possibly finishes with 42 points. while Trevor Ariza goes 0-11 instead of doing this
Meh, a ring is a ring. Hard to say he just won due to injuries when he made the Finals 2 other times without Durant. Besides, Durant never won anything with Curry, and only made the Finals once without him
It is. Injuries are a part of the game. It's not hard to say he wouldn't have beaten LeBron if not for injuries. He played LeBron when he didn't have two stars missing and he lost. He didn't have the fortune of playing injured teams to win the entire way. He had to play LeBron with Wade and Bosh, not with Delladova.
Because most of the guys on this site only really watch the Rockets. That's something I've noticed since I've been back on CF for the last past month. Some might watch the "nationally" televised games but very few here watch anything other than that.
Yes, injuries are part of the game. If Curry didn't get the MCL injury in 2016, he'd have 2 rings without Durant. And if Klay didn't get hurt in the 2019 Finals, he'd have 3 rings without Durant.
