He's looked great on both ends of the floor and seems like he's gettting faster each game as he rounds into shape.

Stone got him and also a first round pick in the trade for Westbrook.

Can he make an all star team or all defensive team again?

He looked great tonight. LOVED his intensity and hustle. You can’t coach those two things

In some ways, John Wall combines the good qualities of Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook. Athletic and dynamic in transition and attacking the basket, floor general with good basketball IQ, decent outside shooter, plus defender.

Besides having a high injury risk, what are his weaknesses? I didn’t watch much Wizards basketball over the years, so someone else will have to explain it to me.

Wall isn't the shooter Chris Paul is, but he is faster. CP3 is more cerebral directing the offense. Wall is more athletic. I didn't know Wall was a good defender.

Should we also give him the key of Houston yet?

Agreed, with James out we really needed him and the team to step up for a win.

I liked how he gave Sacramento a taste of thier own medicine by constantly attacking and putting them on thier heels in transition with his speed, they couldn't just rest and set up on defense.

Having a passion on both the offensive and defensive end as a leader really helps set the tone for the team.

The Westbrook weakness, of not being a good shooter. Wall has about same "effective" fg% as Westbrook for career. WB actually a little better on 2's, Wall better on 3's. Big difference that Wall can make just enough open catch & shoot 3's.

WB is statistically better than everyone. But Wall is better fit for this team with Harden.

Very happy with his performance thus far. He does need to make better decisions and take better shots especially when Harden is playing but i think that will come in time. I like that he is bringing the intensity on defense. That will endear him to Tucker and Harden if he shows that passion and production on both ends consistently.

He hasn't played this level of defense for like three to four years. Same thing for effort level. I think he really gets something to prove after not playing for over two years.

He isn't a reliable shooter either. Westbrook actually shoots better from the midrange with a higher volume than Wall. Don't even compare to CP3.

As athletic as ever but is BBIQ is overstated.

That said obvious upgrade over WB on both fronts.

Disturbed that he thinks steals and blocks = I did my job on defense but not surprising. He really, really gambles a lot.

Too many mid-rangers, but at least he is hitting some 3's and driving effectively to the hoop.

Are you complaining about winning basketball again?
