Hakeem's blocks wont be matched by any by anyone. However he didn't average a quadruple double

The avg that needs to catch up is rebounding but he has shown potential to do get it up. Its the points on top of efficiency to start.

He has a very similar body type to AD....he just needs to add a bit of muscle, something AD needed to do at one point himself. I think 2 years from now he's going to look VERY different.....and he's already dominating.

If you witnessed Dream34’ whole career then you didn’t know what you were watching. This kid can score & rebound but can be really poor defensively. Dream34 had no real weaknesses offensively, was 100x stronger than this kid & was ELITE defensively. Let’s enjoy Wood’s game because he’s blossoming before our eyes.

As nimble and quick as Hakeem was, a lot of his effectiveness was rooted in his strength around the basket on both ends.

Wood can be a very effective offensive player, but I’m not sure he will ever have the base sturdiness that Hakeem had (among other things — it really is an unfair comparison).

Not a chance. AD was over 250 at 22.

Wood will never have that type of power.

When AD was drafted he was 6 pounds heavier than Wood when he entered the league, he hasn't put in the work in the weight room to bulk up and it shows, but they have essentially the same body type, give it 2 years with a proper weight training regime and they'd look the same. Wood clearly spent those years developing other aspects of his game, I'm sure he'll shift to bulking up over the next few years.

Dream's defense was off the ball. He didn't stop any great center from scoring. Great centers don't stop each other they match each other

Don't insult Wood. Dream couldn't even shoot the 3 ball.

Post play is not nearly as important to say as it was back then. The game is so different. Hakeem was an effective on ball defender, as I recall. Of course his team defense was where most of his value came. Hakeem was also strong on the defensive glass, and obtaining deep post position on offense. Wood can’t bully other players physically in the same way that Hakeem did, and with his body type I don’t see him developing that.
