I’ve really been enjoying this turnaround from “I don’t want Harden”...“Simmons is untouchable”...“I only want him if it takes Tobias Harris” etc to “we need Harden” from Sixers fans

Ben Simmons isn’t so untouchable now is he...

“ben simmons is the reason why we lost in the toronto raptors series and why we will never win a championship becuase if he was producing 30 points or more in every game since his rookie year along with bulter with his constant scoring and embiid, we probably would have won the championship, maybe two.

the defending of him just makes my head spin because it's like you would rather keep him over winning a championship because you think he will change, he wont. all your doing is wasting embiid's talent and just becoming the 2011 team all over again, heck we dont even how much time embiid has before he pulls bynum and this team is screwed again and going back to the tank. i mean is that what you want?”

“Look at the current Sixers, Embiid gets neutralized because we have no secondary offensive weapon. The only year we looked like a team that could get to the finals was when we had a second offensive weapon in Jimmy Butler and he isn't even an elite offensive weapon. The bottomline is that in order to win in this league a team needs TWO offensive weapons that cannot be stopped one on one.

As to Ben's defense, any advantage gained by having him on defense is immediately erased because of how his defender is able to sag off and clog up our offense and/or double Embiid. Ben's lack of offense overrides any benefit on defense because against an elite scorer his best defense still won't stop a great scorer.”

“If Joel looks as good as he has with Seth Curry, imagine what he'd do with James Harden. Holy ****.”

“Simmons is a useful player but what makes you want to sit on your hands on moving him? His value is all youth and upside. We’re going to be sitting here three years from now with him still not materially shooting 3s, more or less the same players as 2 years ago, with that illusion of upside and thus great trade value completely gone.”

“Few things get under my skin more when people are ready to throw a parade when Simmons hits one 3 pointer, when Harden casually pulls up from like 28 feet and hits it in his sleep.

It used to be a funny meme. It isn't funny anymore, it's pathetic. That a dude making a jump shot has turned into a momentous event.” :D:D

“It's fine to be excited by a Ben Simmons corner three, but if you choose to also ignore Harden averaging 37 PPG, 11 APG on 52.5 FG% and 45.5 3P% amidst all this drama surrounding him, then I kindly ask you to at least take off your FaZe hoodie and admit you're a fanboy.”

“Let's face it, we aren't getting a better player than harden for ben simmons, it's not gonna happen. You can talk about age, character and other things, but that's the reallity.

Bradley beal can't even carry a wizards team in a depleted conference, so the chances of winning anything with him and embiid are even more slim

The only reason to don't trade ben is the possibility that an star comes to philly via FA( yikes) and then build a big 3 with simmons and embiid, which at this point It doesn't look likely at all.”

“Post prime harden is still 10x better than just about prime Ben Simmons. Don’t let the 4-1 mirage change our outlook. Our schedule is dog ****. Morey isn’t dumb he realizes this.”

“Everyone keeps worrying about how do we stop X player.

How about looking at it from another perspective, how are opposing teams going to stop Harden & Embiid together?

Right now, Embiid is easy to stop in the playoffs because Ben is a total liability in the half court and his man plays free safety clogging the paint and acting as a natural double on Embiid (its even happening in the regular season now). We're always playing 4 against 5 on offense because Ben's garbage on that side of the court.

Oh and I do recall Ben playing great defense on Kawhi in the Raptors series and he STILL torched us because that's what great offensive players do.”
