Well a lot of the depth was really not worth playing. Years without lottery picks and lots of undrafted G Leaguers brought up were not helpful for a team trying to "win now" and have a high seed. In contrast, Brown and Tate are obviously ready to be reserves now and you do not need to give them months of continually losing leads, hoping Harden can overcome a deficit and win the game in the 4th quarter
Tate is the only person I see Harden hop off the bench for when Tate does something good - it’s so cool see. You can definitely tell they went at it in practice (Tate clearly didn’t back down and frustrated Harden) and ultimately earned the respect of Harden - the chemistry and interactions during the game are obvious.
Clint Capela, Montrezl Harrell, Sam Dekker, Danuel House all say hello. MDA would have played Tate. Because unlike Silas, he likes to win.
