I'm really sick of this dumb, weak take. Not because I like Dana at all, but because Major was ****ing terrible.

If I could do the swap all over again, knowing that 2019 and 2020 would be absolute dogshit washout years, I would. That's how bad Major was.

And DH appears to be an older crabbier version of Applewhite. I don't care for either one of them. Hope we can move on from DH asap. Maybe next time we will make a better choice. I don't think DH's latest effort in the bowl game against Hawaii did much to encourage young talented recruits to come play at UH.

Yikes. The next two years are going to be continued disappointment for UH fans. Unless we do something different going forward. I agree with Fulgore in regards to Tune. I would like to see Bryson Smith or someone other than Baby Holgerson have a legitimate shot to replace Tune at QB. Tune is too slow, makes bad decisions, and is a turnover machine. I will continue to watch but I have not really enjoyed watching this team since Tom Herman left. Seems like they keep getting worse instead of better.

Tune is almost a lock to make mistakes that cause us to lose games. We need the freshman redshirting or the one coming in next fall to really push Tune to where CDH isn't married to Tune and will pull him if he stinks it up next season.

I never thought of it that way. Maybe our revenge on the Horns for taking Herman is how unhappy they are now.

Torn between "he is dead to me now", and sort of pulling for the guy.

He played hard here. Can't fault him for trying to get into the pros. Obviously it didn't end ideally but I hope he does well

Yes, I think you can, and it would probably be an upgrade. I wonder if he still has that grill he got while at UH?

Applewhite was the best UH could hope for before they decided to open up the wallet three coaches too late. He will be coaching power 5 schools at some point.

Applewhite was worse than Levine imo. Kendall Briles offense just covered up a lot (see Army game). Levine was at least a decent recruiter.
