101-84 with 2:30 left in the game. They really have great fans. Comparable blaring loudness to the Mavs arena or Arco. Camby is playing really well too. Well everyone on the Nuggs are but Camby is just someone I've been watching since as it's been mentioned already with numerous trade threads that he looks like atleast a good prospect to get in the offseason.
It made my night. Garnett disgusted me even more so after that little Anthony and Miller confrontation. Go Nuggets!
New Orleans 77, Miami 71 Dallas 104, Sacramento 79 Denver 107, Minnesota 86 underdogs rebel... Congrats Nuggets earn first playoff win in a decade , where is Nugget4
congrats to the nuggets hopefully they will continue to win some more in the series boykins is really fun to watch
hi Nuggets4, Has ya became an insomnia after this great victory? gonna have to" be drunk" before you go to bed expecting your recap like the Duece one
Wow, I don't remember posting here last night. Then again, I do'nt remember posting on the Nugs board, or the Broncos board or sending that e-mail either. Live and learn I guess. Game was in-freakin-credible. I have no idea what the Rockets did for their playoff game, but Kiki pulled NO punches. The team had all sorts of basketball events outside the Pepsi Center, numerous radio broadcasts, Nugs dancers signing autographs and supposedly the championship trophy was there. I looked for it, but didn't see it. They also had someone dressed up as the Timberwolves mascot locked in a cage. That's just outside. Inside, we were given those thundersticks that the Angels used in the world series. For two small pieces of plastic, those things are really loud. And they pop when you jump on them. Just an FYI. Went to my seats in the upper, upper, upper level about 35 minutes before tip off. The place was already making a decent amount of noise. The Grambling State Marching band was brought in to do pre-game music, then the national anthem and then halftime as well. Ryan Bowen was supposed to sing the national anthem (he was all-state show choir in high school ), but with his rib injury he didn't. But hey, he did make a basket with 30 seconds left. The game was excruciating. At halftime, I was a nervous wreck, looked at the scoreboard and thought it was wrong. So I asked my buddies, and they said it was right. We were up 13. I swore we were up 3, tops. Luckily, there were more college students behind us, so we all just combined forces to be as annoying as possible. We were yelling anything about every player, until we decided to make Wally Szczerbiak our target. Not really sure why, but glad we did. Anytime he touched the ball, we would start chanting "WALLLL-LLYYYYY". It eventually grew to almost the entire section doing it. We're still not loud enough for anyone in the lower level to hear us, but hey, who cares? The dude in front of me turned around and asked why we were picking on Wally saying he's "the 189th best player in the league". My response was, "he's not wearing blue, yellow and white". I don't think he understood. Then again, he said Andre Miller was having an awful game late in teh fourth as Miller already had 19 points, 6 boards and 6 assists at that point, so he doesn't count anymore. All throughout the game, they had tributes to great players in Nuggets history. Kiki, Skywalker, English, Fat....it was great. Showed highlights from the first NBA all-star game (it was in Denver, Dr. J from the free throw line) to advertise next year's all-star game (in Denver). David Stern was there. LeBron was there as well. At one point, Rocky (greatest. mascot. ever.) ran up the first level, jumped up, pulled himself to the club level, ran across 5 luxury boxes until he found LeBron. At that point, he pulled out a Melo jersey and forced him to put it on. Bron looks good in metallic powder blue and Melo yellow. Hopefully he remembers that when he's a FA in 4 years. Even after the game, in the concourse, people were still chanting "Let's Go Nuggets" (*clap clap clapclapclap*). A good 30 mintues after teh game this was going on. People had their thundersticks and were hitting their car with them while driving away from the arena. Anyone who says Denver doesn't have basketball fans is full of it. The die-hards have always been there (I believe we averaged around 14,000 a game, even when we were losing), and now everyone else is coming around. One thing's for sure, it is nice winning now because the women that come to games are definately a lot better to look at than when we were losing.
heh... you really" be drunk" You "didn't see it"? well...just wonder which section you sat BIG NOISE!!! Hearing like a feast to me. Too pity I haven't got a chance to be there yet. James was on spot he seems a true buddy of Malo. judging from the recap, You Nuggets Fans seems crazier than Rox Fans "the women that come to games "? heh... did you still have chance to watch them during the game or timeout... in that intense game
You see, Deuce. It's not easy for Nuggets4 to set the benchmark according to your recap since the link Behind The Rockets Bench - Rockets vs. Hawks - Report & Photos" in your signature doesn't work now. Maybe it has been changed like a(http://bbs2.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=72995) or something... just guess, as a Senior Member, how long would Nuggets spend to dig up your stuff Luckily. I've save it as a archive in my computer. Yeah, impressived with your sensational recap & your smart wife. I reread it many times... got nice feeling each time I finished it.
What did you guys do when Wally went for that dunk on Chris Andersen and wound up landing on his neck? My friends thought that was hilarious.
why? Miller first pushed garnett, what do u want garnett to do, just stand their and act like nothing happened?
Garnett pushed Melo on the bench first. Miller defended Melo by pushing Garnett back? What do you expect Miller to do?
I couldn't believe that crap. Minnesota's screaming for a flagrant. First of all, Birdman didn't even touch Wally, he got all ball. It's not Birdman's fault that Wally stupidly hung on to the rim either too long, or not long enough. I believe the general consensus was, "See, this is why white shooters don't try to dunk."
