I believe iso-ball was forced on MDA by Morey and his number crunchers who figured that PnR just helps to brings-in the double team and that Harden actually doesn't need the pick to be efficient. "MDA-ball" has been traditionally heavy on PnR: Nash/Amare, Lin/Chandler, Harden/Capela in his first two years. Iso-ball or Morey-ball was only the last couple of years...

So the real comparison will be between the intricate basketball intellect of Silas and the business-school junk-science of Morey and his number-crunchers. Let's see what works better. Silas-ball is more watchable, for sure...

    Holdup

You mean to tell me he doesn’t dribble it 27 times and hold it for 22 seconds every time he has the ball?

Tracking cameras are obviously broken. The best minds of clutchfans and Twitter have told us differently for years now.

It's weird. Certainly a pro-Harden conspiracy going on at the NBA stats office. I can only assume it's all part of their larger anti-Houston conspiracy in some way, I just haven't figured out exactly how.

And just for reference as far as his ball dominance from year to year

    Time of possession per game

    13/14 : 5.2 minutes
    14/15 : 6.3
    15/16 : 6.6
    16/17 : 9.3
    17/18 : 8.8
    18/19 : 9.3
    19/20 : 8.6
    20/21 : 9.4

Will be interesting to see how his minutes per game with the ball end up this year. Career high so far, but sample size and missing half the rotation makes the number mostly useless for now.

Too many dribbles is why he gets tired during the playoffs. He is grinding it. Less dribbles, more fresh in the playoffs. Loving 2020 Harden.
