We lost to a better team. Thats all. Jokic doing jokic things was the difference. Boogie's phisicality couldve been a factor, but jokic simply better than any of our bigs.

We didnt have enough weapons on the floor that left harden very frustrated. Those missed drives and threes couldve easily been wall and gordon possessions, so im not too worried.

Im just excited for the debut of the protocol trio next game. That second unit of eg and boogie + defensive dogs will be must watch too.

 

Wood got 20 points in the first half. Completely disappeared in the second with only 3 points.

 

3 rebounds are the real problem.

Stephen Silas is the best speaking coach we have had in years. D'Antoni use to just talk gibberish to the media and laugh, Silas actually gives proper answers

 

So does the season start Wednesday or did someone go get a haircut yesterday? Time to put out the A team.

 

It's obvious we're still a freaking short team and I wouldn't mind trying out a Tucker - Wood - Cousins lineup. We're getting bullied and punished on the boards. I was not big on bringing House back for what he did in the bubble and now it's too late to trade him. Give me Green back over him, start Nwaba or Tucker in case we go big. Problem with a big lineup is that I fear Tucker has lost some of his magic. He gets turned around so often on the wing, he wasn't the only one, but it's crazy how easily our guys are beaten on the wings.

And I know it's early, but I don't see anything on offense that is all that different from MDA. Still see way too much penetration leading to nothing, either they are forced into a tough pass since the opponent knows we'll kick it out, we cannot get to the rim or just drive back out to the 3pt line and pass it off so the next guy can take a turn. Where's the ball and body movement? Where's the use of Wood on the block? Where's the mid-range shots? I hope this will come with more practice and our full squad back, but right now I don't see the genius.

I'm actually quite baffled by the decision to have Harden and Wood rest at the same time. Those two are our only go-to guys right now and you need at least one of them on the court at all times. We lose leads so easily when they rest together and surely that will change soon, but I just don't understand Silas' thinking other then: they work best when they're together on the court, but Wood was cooking so should've staggered them a bit.

 

Danuel House for Jake Layman makes too much sense.

 

Honestly I haven't watched a game this year. Having trouble getting into it with everything that has happened/is happening.

 

I'd rather have wins.

Speaking articulately with media is way down on my list of needs for HC.

But maybe that's just me.

I like Christian Wood but he should not be taking more shots than Harden.

And he sure as **** should be getting more rebounds than Harden.

oof, Wood had a pretty tough night going up against Jokic haha. Still had 23 points tho, not bad. He really needs to hit the weight room, he looks like he's gonna snap any minute out there.
