Better question. How many Trumpers still believe in Trump after knowing he told thousands of fact checked lies throughout this entire year?

If you add up all of his lies I think more accurately the total number is now in the millions.

He didn’t lie you ignorant **** he said he wasn’t recommending people wear a mask and we know that was because there was a shortage for healthcare workers.

@dachuda86 believes changing your mind based on new evidence is lying. Changing your mind based on political reasons regarding the virus like Trump does is fine though.

Merry Christmas to you kind individual.

Also Fauci is a Trump man. I am shocked about the blind faith you and many give him when he consistently has flip flopped. And the motive is not important. What is is that he gives advice as a matter of whatever is politically advantagous. This is proven.

One is a so called expert in corona viruses and should have known if masks were effective. No way there was new evidence to change his mind on something as common in the medical world as a mask. Dude is a hack.

Fauci has been doing his job for decades he’s definitely not a Trump man. Why do you keep a spewing this nonsense? Only thing that’s proven is that you keep on lying and making **** up off the muscle for no reason.

Fauci lying is just an idea. And an incredibly poorly formulated one at that.

The US CDC and many other nations (US - recommended face covering for general public on 4/3, Singapore required facemask on 4/14, Austria - 4/6, Germany - 4/22, France - 5/10, Spain - 5/20, S.Korea - 5/26) were wrong about facemask use by the general public to reduce Covid spread. Not only isn't there any lying by all these nations, it is understandable because it was based on data (and not just gut feeling).

I remember what Fauci said around Feb/March.
1- There is a shortage of N95 masks / respirator for Health Care workers.
2- Masks isn't recommended in non-Health Care settings. Exception is if you are sick (wear one) or if you are taking care of someone that is sick (wear one).

What ultimately changes the face mask recommendation (to wear by everyone in public) was that a large % of people infected with Covid19 showed no symptoms early-on but were spreading it. If you don't know you are carrying the virus and spreading it, then that call for usage of face masks widely - which was what happen.

Prior to that Covid-19 data, you used the data you had (previous outbreak with other viruses, such as the 2009 flu pandemic) and they back up what Fauci said.

    2009:
CDC: Interim Recommendations for Facemask and Respirator Use to Reduce 2009 Influenza A (H1N1) Virus Transmission

In community and home settings, the use of facemasks and respirators generally are not recommended. However, for certain circumstances as described in Table 1, a facemask or respirator may be considered, specifically for persons at increased risk of severe illness from influenza.

However, the use of a facemask or respirator is likely to be of most benefit if used as early as possible when exposed to an ill person and when the facemask or respirator is used consistently. (Ref. 1. MacIntyre CR, et al. EID 2009;15:233-41. 2. Cowling BJ, et al. Non-pharmaceutical interventions to prevent household transmission of influenza. I think polling has shown consistently that a majority support measures such as mask wearing and even restrictions on bars and restaurants to combat this disease. The problem always is with a highly contagious disease it doesn't take much to keep on spreading the disease.
