Wood is more PF than Center due to his size. With Cousins back, I think he will flourish even further at PF. Those arching passes by Harden to Wood were scary but Wood was so fluent of catching them. He was also getting instantly double-teamed. Was also a willing passer. Quite excited to have him for the Rockets.

Wood is cold. Once he grows defensively Man the team will be stellar

Wood went around Aldridge last week like he was standing in cement. Wood just outplayed Nurkic tonight.

Love his attack and mentality to flex whenever he scored. Only gripe is one stretch in the 4th or OT where I wanted to see Wood go up against Nurcic on the defensive end, not Tucker.

Amare is a weird comparison. Amare was way more athletic. His go to move was to just dunk it over everything. It was only after he got injured did he develop a shot and midrange.

Woods is definitely a poor man's AD. And that's pretty damn good.

For me, tonight, it was Wood’s performance that was a revelation. He’s a cornerstone player; no other way to say it. With his size and versatility I’m convinced he’ll be an all star this year.

Amare was more springy. Not necessarily more athletic.

Wood is a more natural basketball player that’s for sure. Amare was basically only good on the catch and the occasional face up spin move.

Wood could just create off the dribble half the time and it’s just as good. And his instincts are far better as a passer and defender.

Poor mans AD is pushing it. Definitely middle class AD.

Wood looks quicker and more sudden than AD to me.

AD has him in strength and refinement on both ends. But I think those are two things he can work on.

I’m not sure he’ll be as good as AD, but I feel like Wood can potentially outplay any big in the league on any given night. This was a huge move by stone.

I’m excited about this team once all the pieces get back. If Harden stays they will shock the nba pundits.

Silas was asked this during one of the off-season media sessions and he specifically said he'll be a 5 with us. I think he'll just split time with Cousins. There may be situations where they both play, but Silas wants him to be a 5.

I hope Harden gets more wood playing with Christian than he does at strip clubs.

This might convince him to stay

Great offensive player , terrible on D, he is too skinny.
He wont be an all-star, the west is loaded, stop dreaming. What he might be is most improved player, if he can score 20ppg for the season. I really liked his face up game and handle. His passing was not very good, but well, there's is a reason why we got him at a discount price. Him and Harden are going to light up a lot of teams this season.

ps: somebody suggested Cousins mentor him , i really hope they where joking.

The D will come as he gets used to playing again. We’ll definitely need him to score when Harden is gone?

I’d rather have Hakeem mentor him with those quick feet and a steel trap for a mind.
