It almost certainly means Feigan who originally broke this story or Rockets FO are lying and that Stone and PJ's representation have yet discuss an extension or are "close" to one.

Who’s the Heat’s go-to scorer? No one on the Heat averaged 20+ last year. There’s plenty of offense between Herro, Wall, Wood, Robinson, and EGO.

Yeah and the Heat had elite defense.Anyway the Rockets with that lineup are best be an 8 seed. Stone will rightfully see that team is not a title contender and will start a rebuild for long term. It’s just the way it is. No point being an 8th seed treadmill team.it makes no sense.

Wood can be our Bam, but there isn't a Jimmy Butler type talent in that bunch.

Don't you think Wall could fill that leadership role? I look at some of Wall's play-off heroics and he's got the dawg in him if he can stay healthy. On paper that team actually looks pretty solid with an 8 deep rotation and Ben as a #9.

Wall isn’t Butler, but a healthy Wall is no slouch.

I never said he was one. I like Wall's playmaking and speed. I do think we need more talent in that group to make some real noise.

Lavert and Dinwiddie and Allen are all more experienced and accomplished than herro and Robinson but yet people here call them scrubs or peanuts while herro and Robinson are lauded as potential “superstars” Smh. They all are potential 3rd tier stars or very good fringe all star type players. Let’s call it what it is lol.

Completely disagree with this post in every regard. Those guys are far from scrubs, but I also think Herro has shown way more potential. Take Lavert. Herro showed way more as a rookie than Lavert.

I never said Robinson is a “superstar.” I just think he would be a great third or fourth option.

None of these guys are scrubs is my point. But I think herro and Robinson are over valued and I have a problem with people on this site calling dinwiddie lavert and Allen peanuts while herro and Robinson is lauded and immortalized. Remember how rocket fans hyped up dragic like he was second coming of Jesus? There’s a problem with this narrative let’s leave it at that. Herro may be potential 3rd tier star or fringe player like EG. He is a good player but so are all those Nets players.

Robinson is comparable with all of those guys IMO. I’d totally consider a Lavert and Herro package. Herro is just in a different league as far as potential and value. You don’t let “fringe players” take as many clutch shots as he took last year, especially as a rookie. In the brightest lights, the Heat put the ball in Herro’s hands. There’s a reason for that.

THIS is yet another reason to keep PJ.

The team is likely waiting to see what they get for Harden and then will decide whether to resign PJ or trade him for something they could not get in a James deal.

Yeah, I've loved the guy as a Rocket, but I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank at this point. I think it's time to let him go.
