I agree with the people who don't give a damn if his Mom is his agent. He is going to get a max deal every single time for the foreseeable future. Guess what else? Those agent fees are tax deductible, so he can give mom tax free money, on his side.

Butler would destroy Harden for his work ethic. Oil and vinegar. A man and a boy.

The problem at the moment with James Harden is he won’t clear anything out leaving all the rumors up to the media and fans. If he wants to paint a different picture he would.... we are just left assuming all the rumors are true.

Harden the most talented player in NBA history.

Top 5 MVP candidate for like 5 straight years and he doesn’t even try.

A boy with no work ethic dominated a league of men with all of the work ethic.

    A tale for the ages

The same way it would have worked with Butler/CP3/Harden.

Harden would slide over to the 3. He arguably guards 3’s better than 2’s, is strong enough to guard the spot and has a huge wingspan.

No he wouldn’t. Butler and Harden both have very strong work ethics. In Chicago Butler rubbed his teammates the wrong way by being late to camp while working with his trainer and was known for getting chirpy in practice... they called him “Hollywood Jimmy”.

I love Jimmy Butler but work ethic wise there isn’t a big difference. Harden and Butler are two of the hardest workers in the league.

I am not sure what you think Harden is or isn’t... you can call him aloof, and he likes to do what he wants when he wants, but him putting in the work has NEVER been a problem. He has routinely had practices on his own and improved his game.

What is there to clear up? He has asked for a trade and still wants to be traded. He was passive aggressive and came to camp two days later than he said he would.

Someone please explain to me the "evidence" of Morey wanting out because of Harden....please show me one iota of credible proof? Please someone show me? Besides oh he worked out with Kyrie and KD in the off season?

No one has one shred of proof here.

His mom makes a ton of sense as his agent. It helps to keep it all in the family and it’s not like she has a ton of contract negotiating to do when it comes to his max extensions. However, it would be wise to have a solid PR team around him in this situation. Many of the things that have come out about him in the news are not good for his image. In addition, what he has blatantly done and what he has posted afterwards were not well advised. He needs to do some damage control to keep his brand in a positive light.

Didn't Butler face Harden in the playoffs and lose 4-1?

    Harden
    29 pts
    7.4 asts
    4.8rebs
    2.4 stls
    1.2 blks

    Butler
    15.8 pts
    4.0 asts
    6.0 rebs
    0.8 stls
    0.2 blks

Yeah you're right, he DESTROYED Harden.

You’re an absolute idiot!!! Booker only took 15 shots that whole game. Of course you showed most of them to make a fake image to look like he was gunning away and poor ole CP3 couldn’t touch the ball. Have no idea why you’d post this garbage in a thread about Harden’s mom.

That's why the bigger that image keeps getting posted, the funnier it gets.

Yeah this x 1000. The lack of a PR team and lacking media savviness is going to catch up to them in ways they don't realize yet.

Maybe it's the Southern California reality TV out-of-touch "there's no such thing as bad news" mentality that serves the extent of their media literacy when it comes to public perception.

At some point if Harden continues to act like a little **** then a major brand like Adidas will drop him. Maybe he doesn't care, and that's fine since he has a ton of money already, but it's remarkable how there are people out there who don't realize actions have consequences.

On the other hand, he hasn't had any issues with the law or Dwight Howard-esque baby mama drama, so obviously his mother raised him quite well in that regard.

The point is that the offense their running is the EXACT SAME OFFENSE THE ROCKETS have been running. And the thing he supposedly complained about James Harden doing is the EXACT same thing he's doing right now. .....Sheesh

15 pages and lots of history rewrite, hindsight blame game.

This thread wouldn't exist and none of this an issue if cp3 hasn't looked done..
This entire board wanted him gone. Not because he sucks or harden sucks or anyone mom .but cp3 on bad side of 30 and any spring needed for a pg not there and lots of money still owed to cp3..

It's like that didn't happen in this thread..
    This thread is weird.

All are deserving of blame and it's also no one's "fault"
It has been a domino effect with the first domino being cp3 looking done and due a bunch of money. People were already jumping ship if kept cp3.

If I'm the owner i would be complaining and looking for an out too from cp3..again HE LOOKED DONE. Call westbrook what you want but he was mvp already has a triple double with wizards. AND friends with harden. It's not that hard to follow.

Of course harden wanted wb and it's no slight on cp3 same way none of us were crying when olajuwon went to toronto..

You guys are arguing this and that and the reality is what it was at time and domino effect. If we had known cp3 was still a capable not gassed done player rockets would have kept him. None of this would be happening (well maybe not but it didn't seem like harden wanted cp3 anymore either or at time)

Lots of gotchas and blame game when that's silly and also not how it went down.

The second paul George went to clips it was a feeding frenzy and rockets "won" getting wb(and "away" from that cp3 contract) and the hope now is "won" with getting wall and passing around the hot potato once more.
    Someone left holding the bag..

Trading for Westbrook was never a good idea, there were plenty of smart people in here who knew that and didnt want to trade for him. Cp3 of 2018-2019 was better and less injury prone than Westbrook last year for us.

hey I like you but this is a rewrite.
Go read this board at time, conventional wisdom (see history data points of gassed players in history) , remove hindsight.

Holding on to cp3 was a concern. Westbrook was mvp not scrub...not taking away from cp3 but he was gassed. There is no disputing this
