I forgot who it was, but there's one guy who played well in the bubble that is still designated a rookie because the bubble didn't count for awards purposes. Favorite is Wiseman if not whoever I can't remember.
Gotta be Wiseman, even though we have 70 more games to go. Anthony Edwards probably won't produce as much since he's 3rd/4th option on that team. Lamelo Ball can't get buckets. Edwards not only has freedom - he has a starting spot and GSW has no other low post presence to eat into Wiseman's production.
I like Tyrese Haliburton from SAC. I occasionally tune into different games when the rockets dont play and whenever i tune into SAC games i see this kid to incredilbly smart things considering he’s a rookie with the ball in his hand. His stats look pretty good too.
I think you’re talking about Michael Porter Jr. His bubble performance didn’t count for last year’s voting, but he is no longer a rookie for this year’s voting.
I looked it up and it was apparently Bol Bol. So I take it back. I don't think I would have had the same reaction if it wasn't someone else, but I guess I was sold on him for a moment.
I dunno if it belongs here but am definitely shocked how bad Obi Toppin has been. He was supposed to struggle on defense but do a lot of things on offense, dude cant do anything right. I wonder if NYC just having bad systems make it hard for players to succeed. RJ Barret looked like a bust last year as well and only picked it up this year.
