Don't trade him until we get something decent in return. Let other teams see how they stack up against the powers in the East or West. They will probably see they need help and will be more willing to trade for him.

Harden's strategy of getting out of Houston sooner rather than later only works if Stone caves on his ask. It backfires completely though if the ask doesn't change because he is driving his value down making it even harder to get a team to meet Houston's ask.

All the BS Harden is doing to Houston, other teams brass are starting to get cold feet (so I hear) on wanting him, realizing he could do that to them if he becomes unhappy.

    And no, Shannon isn't wrong.

    Sit on Harden till Feb/Offseason!

One of the Eastern Conference teams will be struggling or lagging behind the front runner enough to trade a Jaylon Brown+ or a Ben Simmons+.

They all have the benefit of being 0 or 1 games in. They don't need to make a trade now but they will come February.

James can walk to any team he wants to in about 18 months. That isn’t very long.

Personally, I think anybody who thinks Harden will be in Houston AFTER this season is delusional and needs to be checked into a mental hospital ASAP.

Shannon calls Harden a jerk, Richard Jefferson calls him an ass, and Yao Ming doesn't need to say a thing, but damn . . . the example of Yao puts Harden to shame.

Here is the thing .. . . . . Let's say everything we have heard is true
EVERYONE HAS TO SET ASIDE THEIR EGO AND SIT THE F*CK DOWN AND TALK!!!

Tilman, Stone, Harden, and Silas need to sit down and talk this **** out!

I think the relationship can be salvaged but people need to be open to it and work on it.

I still have a little hope he stays...

That little hope is saying to me, Harden will come out and apologize for some of the crap he pulled off, and sign a new 4 year max contract

Pure speculation on my part, but my feeling is that whatever is at the heart of Harden's grievance's for leaving are not matters that he feels like discussion will further. It might be that too many promises have been broken and too many bridges burned. In divorce court, this is called irreconcilable differences and the two parties go their separate ways.

When you don't feel like you can trust anything the other person says, you don't listen to them anymore.

If we win (assuming we ever play) he may stay. Wood/Wall have to be monsters.

We will never know the full truth, but by all accounts it's the opposite situation, right? Houston has done everything he asked, even when it was the wrong move (trading for westbrook). Get Tillman sucks and is cheap, but right now it feels that Harden is the one not living up to his part of the bargain.

Stone isn't the talker, I would want to remove him from the equation.

    He is a doer.

And Tilman isn't a good individual.

    Practically Harden and Silas.

Yes, that has been reported widely. But sometimes feelings defy facts and alter perceptions. The most inescapable observation to me is that James Harden isn't acting like someone who feels like his team gave him everything he wanted. So fact or not, I don't think Harden feels that way.

You are right, the only way he plays for the Rockets next year is somehow by any miracle we win the championship.
