Portland has nothing to offer...unless Tilman thinks it's a great idea to build around Wall and decides CJ, Simmons, Little, Collins and trash picks is a great package.
I don't "hate" anyone, you simping for Harden doesn't mean I "hate" him when I point out what he's clearly doing.
LOL Your basketball analysis reeks. Harden would not ride any players coattails not named Lebron or Durant. Even Steph would take back seat to Harden.
Nonsense, it's what he's looking to do right now. He's tired of pretending he can be "the guy", it's just not in his character. He has the talent for it, but talent alone isn't enough.
Be honest. The CP3 we saw in the playoffs year 2 looked washed. He was not a number two level player. Last year he was carried plenty of stretches of games by Schroeder and Gilgeous-Alexander and then he’d make some good plays in the 4th quarter to close. A lot like yesterday. Thing is, Harden felt he needed a guy that could get 30 a night and share the load offensively. Good in premise. It just didn’t work because Westbrook’s lack of shooting at the guard position is so atrocious. Many will argue he should’ve known that would happen because everybody else did, but I’m sure he thought Westbrook’s lack of shooting would be offset by the other things that he does well.
Your take is either blatant lie or simply moronic. Harden wants to go to a team that is serious about contending for a championship, ie spending money, not because he doesnt want to be the guy.
AGAIN, unless there is a 3rd team, no deal gets done until Feb when all trade exceptions expire and all players on a single roster are available. In addition, James needs to start acting like a professional before anyone will feel comfortable trading for him. SOOOO glad the pundits are all coming out and saying he needs to help the situation, not hurt it.
Nonsense, he could do so here, he would just need to be "the guy" and that's something he's ill equipped for due to a lack character or leadership traits so he's looking to be shipped to a team where he can be Robin for any Batman type that'll carry him. It's sad given his talent, but it is what it is
Portland has absolutely nothing to offer unless it’s Lillard which will obviously never happen, so they are just as irrelevant as Milwaukee when it comes to a Harden trade. Boston can start by offering Jaylen Brown, and then we can work out the other pieces. I’m cool with Brown or MPJ from Denver...Philly can keep Simmons
my price would be Brown and MPJ. Tell Boston if they can get MPJ in addition to Brown, then Harden is theirs. Something like Brown, MPJ, and 2 first round picks for Harden. As far as how Boston could get MPJ, the answer is Theis. He’s an excellent fit next to Jokic as a big time defender at the 4 (or 5) and a good shooter. Add House to Denver to shore up their forward spot, with Nesmith going to Houston from Boston. Tucker goes to Boston to cover for Theis in return for another FRP for Houston. Something like this: Hou In: Brown, MPJ, Nesmith, 3 FRPs from Boston Hou Out: Harden, Tucker, House Bos In: Harden, Tucker Bos Out: Brown, Theis, Nesmith, 3 FRPs Den In: Theis, House Den Out: MPJ, Millsap Wall / Gordon Brown / McLemore Tate / Nwaba MPJ Wood / Cousins Walker / Teague Harden / Smart Tatum Tucker / Millsap Thompson Murray / Morris Harris Barton / House Theis / Green Jokic / Theis Rather than splitting up Harden, Tucker and House into 3 separate trades, it makes sense to combine them here to incentivize Denver and Boston to give up more assets in order to have more complete teams. Houston gets a centerpiece (Brown), young talent with upside (MPJ and Nesmith) and 3 first round picks. Boston gets the prize in Harden, plus Tucker to fill the hole created with the loss of Theis. Theis is a much better fit next to Jokic than MPJ, and Denver shores up their weak forward spot with House.
