[Woj] Harden eligible to play against Portland with negative test

Bro, I'm with you on needing Green, but he is a casualty of the hard cap.

Rockets are only $1.1M under the hard cap, which they cannot exceed. Green's minimum salary would be like $1.6M, which is why we can't sign him at this point in time.

Thomas is on a two-way contract, he is a rookie. Went to a 2nd division school.

 

Just trade him already. Ugh

 

What exactly are the rules on these two way contracts then? I guess I'm a little confused. I thought they were eligible for 50 out of the 72 games for the season.

 

It all got changed around this season because of the virus. I'm not sure what is different now but I know there have been changes to the rules to it.

 

We do not have a bench at all.....its going to be tough Saturday. I do not know why Wall and Boogie can not play. They just took a haircut and i bet those two guys had their mask while taking their haircut......so why are they being punished???

So for blatantly violating the league safety protocol, they simply fined the player 50k.

Rentry protocol is now suddenly only 4 consecutive negative results when it was at minimum 7 in the bubble and was 6 just a few weeks ago for Harden to enter camp.

 

Rockets should just get the other players more minutes.

Play JH for 20 minutes, show him who is boss and who is puss.

 

This is good for the Rockets. The faster Harden shows he’s still an mvp and teams around league see it, the faster he’s out.

Better than waiting around just to see Harden suffer, which in turn halts our rebuild.

I'm looking around and I can't find anything that states what you are saying. I wonder if anyone else can clarify or find an article that supports what you are saying.

 

Masks do not protect you from getting the virus. Masks limit your ability to spread the virus. It's more important that whoever was cutting their hair was wearing a mask than they were because they get tested regularly.

 

It is not a normal game, your best bench dude is probably a borderline scrub.

Perhaps... But my comment is more about the league than Harden. They should've came down hard on ANY player that showed such disregard for their safety rules as well as the current situation in the country regarding covid.

This is at least twice Harden has done this... The league's response doesn't convince me that Harden or other players will take their rules and covid protocols seriously.

The other 3 guys came into contact with known covid positive person.

I wouldn't call it punishment. They happen to be near KJ when he got his haircut, so the league is simply applying their own rules.
