Degenerative back issue ... So a ticking time bomb like Brandon Roy's knees ..? Or Yao's feet? Why couldn't we hedge that by insisting on significant draft pick compensation from DEN? Should he not play in a certain percentage of the team's games over the next 2-3 seasons: < 50% = 2 more FFRPs < 75% = 1 more We get Bol Bol plus the filler vets also Then add PJ for Millsap swap Wood / Cousins / Bol Millsap / House MPJ / Barton EGo / Harris Wall / need backup PG
MPJ definitely looking better after game 1 than basically every other player or package of players floated sans Brown.
Looking at a path to a deal with Denver... Murray MPJ RJ Hampton Bol Bol 2 FRPs for Harden Tucker Harris / Morris Harden / Dozier Tucker / Barton Milsap / Green Jokic / Hartenstein
They will not trade Murray or Joker everyone else is on the table.. You will have to include Gary Harris and Will Barton along with MPJ to make salary work... So those 2 guys will be included in a MPJ deal
They wont get murry. I see them getting Mpj,Barton,Harris, 3 frp. I would just require him to suit up or not even fly to games until they trade him after this **** he pulled getting people sick.
Porter has great talent obviously, it's all about how much do you trust his back and want to bet on him being healty in the long run, the fact that like 13/14 teams passed on a similar talent is pretty telling on how much scared all those teams were about his back.
I don't trust back issues. We've seen them with T-mac, Dwight and D-mo. They are just an annoying lingering issue that never goes away.
I was blown away at his ability to own the boards during the last playoff run Always thought of him as too light to bang inside but he was a borderline rim protector / glass eater for long stretches of playoff games vs elite teams If he develops his DEF game too become a legit 2way contributor, to go with explosive scoring potential ... Superstar ceiling is maybe not so crazy I had envisioned him settling in as a perimeter wing player, but after last year, he is clearly most valuable as a nightmare matchup at the 4 KD comps starting to look more realistic Just gotta know exactly what the back situation is before pulling the trigger unless heavily compensated with draft capital for the massive health risk If there were no back issues ... He probably wouldn't even be on the market for anything less than a Harden level superstar, if at all A true '5 tool' package of skills in the perfect modern position-less NBA body is among the rarest, most valuable assets in the game They rarely if ever hit the market on a rookie contract
Don’t sleep on Murray never being an MVP. He looked pretty damn good against the LAK in the playoffs. They fell short but it wasn’t on him ... he did a hell of a lot better than Harden vs Lakers. Harden is obviously the better talent but idc about no MPJ, I want Murray in the deal or byeeeeee
Here’s a good read about MPJ’s back injury. www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nba/2018/6/15/17362958/michael-porter-jr-nba-draft-stock-pick-back-injury-surgery
Harris and Barton do nothing for me. If MPJ is the highlight then Nuggets need to find a 3rd suitor with legit secondary pieces.
