That means you have to full commit to the tank. Because you don't want to risk being the 5th worst team in the NBA.

The Rockets should take the L. Don’t put players on the court who’ve been in contact with Harden. They should take the L and immediately suspend Harden indefinitely. Don’t allow him near the team.

I imagine a situation where it’s 2022 and Harden, having been dealt to Toronto after a long standoff, is introduced to a sold out Toyota Center crowd and receives the longest boo in sports history.

Absolutely, and it's what we should do, without Harden this team isn't winning anything so, go for what's best for the franchise, which means not play to get that 8th seed and get knocked out in the first round while still losing the pick for free.

Bbbut bbut but worlds greatest scorer of all time! You mofos don’t get it. It’s just the media they don’t deserve for Harden to talk to them anyways. Who cares what he does off the court as long as he shows up to the game. You don’t just trade a franchise player because he’s unhappy. Harden should realize this team has the best chance to win a title if he buys in! He threw a ball at a teammate... who cares I play basketball too and have done that also. Hopefully we keep him until the deadline and he plays well and changes his mind. His value goes up the longer we keep him. He’s not out of shape. He’s not at a strip club... just a party where women walk around naked and people make it rain. We as Rockets fans should go outside Toyota Center and rally for him to stay!1!!! But Steph Curry can’t carry a team. Michael Jordan loved to party too. Shut up Lin troll.

So Harden becomes Thybulle and 2nd round pick. What 4 teams will is still be harder to be worse than ....

    1. OKC
    2. Cle
    3. NY
    4. Pistons?

Even with being in the top 4 worst teams with the reduced odds there's like only a 50% of getting one of the 4 picks.

Ben McClemore is out because he’s in self-isolation, so it’s equally/more likely due to contact tracing with whatever happened to Ben.

Yep. He needs to start losing money. Suspend him, fine him, and repeat until he grows up.

It’s equally/more likely due to whatever happened the Ben McClemore. He’s already in self-isolation.

Rules are rules. I get that, however...

the reinfection rate is something like 1 in 30 million. The rules are ridiculous if they can’t account for this.

damn.... I'm as big of a Harden fan as the next one in this group & always backed him whenever there's talk of him failing to bring the chip to Houston etc. (He can only do so much & his #s are great, but when you go deep into the playoff, 1-star player can't beat a team with 2+ stars because Harden's sidekick is always injured when it counts & this does not include the years he carries a group of scrubs to the playoff).

But this sh*t is getting out of hand... I lose a lot of respect for the guy & he's been completely unprofessional to an organization that gave him everything. He just doing it all wrong with this & now it's bringing real drama/issues to the team.
it's selfish & all kinds of f*cked up.

This team right now isn't bad, can it beat the Lakers or the Nets?
I don't think so, but every team is also an injured player away from losing in the playoff like it has been happening to the rockets.

Any organization that would blacklist a reporter for telling the truth is a trash organization. Don't kill the messenger.

I agree, but Tim has history on piling onto stuff in Dallas, sometimes you have to let things calm down, just to keep your 'good' with the org

The rules aren't ridiculous. League needs to make an example out of Harden if they want to show they're serious about covid. They can't risk giving Harden a slap on the wrist and then other players feel they can violate the rules with little consequence. NBA has thus far handled covid well since March when Rudy Gobert caught it and then with the bubble. They don't want to be like MLB, NFL, and NCAA that have handled it poorly with full team outbreaks regularly occurring.

As Rockets disclosed yesterday, Ben McLemore is in self-isolation and out for tonight's game vs. OKC. McLemore tested positive for the coronavirus days ago, sources said, and has been in isolation. He isn't the teammate whose positive test initiated contact tracing today on team.
