I remember the days when stocks moving like JMIA was nuts. Now it's like "yeah, that's pretty good". I own it, too, btw, among a few other stocks that have been FOMO'ed up. lol.
Yeah, I heard him talking about this. I made a little bit on F and jumped out a few sessions ago to take further advantage of other stocks that were moving. I'm still in GM. I doubt it's going to happen anytime soon unless they're that close to manufacturing or something. From what the rumors were saying, they're still 3
Yea this market has gotten out of control. Let’s see what happens when robinhood has a record amount of $600 deposits. And Don’t be surprised if some of these ev and energy stocks turn into the new “tech “ and run all next year lol
Yeah, I'm trying to find a few to buy and hopefully just sit on for the long-term, but it's difficult because there are so many in the ev/electric/hydrogen sector, and those don't even begin to touch all the possibilities in other sectors that are "hot". It's gotten to the point where I'm just going to put 20% stops on some of these and be content with a huge gain instead of an insane gain if they tank It's hilarious, because some of these ticker symbols were the same ones from 20 years ago that skyrocketed and absolutely got destroyed. I own FCEL and that thing was a $6000-$7000 (!) stock during the dotcom bubble. I own PLUG and it briefly hit something like $1000 back then. MP was the clownshow that was Molycorp just a few years ago. Everyone is hoping JMIA will be the AMZN of Africa. I'm double-dipping into LAZR and it's rewarding me. Same story, different decade. Just not as crazy now (if you can believe that). Ah well, like I keep saying -- enjoy the ride. Just make sure you get off in time. Now if you don't mind, I need to go look for some SPACs. lol.
On CRM - I dumped a ton into shares this week. I think it's my biggest gambling stock allocation. Seemed like a safe place with upside to park some cash. I also believe there are an abnormal amount of calls out there at that $250 strike for Jan. I guess you cant lose in this market, what's the worst that could happen? Lulz.
Welp trump wants to blow up the market before he leaves... https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/22/tru...ds-congress-add-higher-stimulus-payments.html
Man this QS run has so many shades of 1999 - though throw in a massive dose of PEDs/cocaine/meth cocktail. I don't know much about this stock but man just seems unreal.
I'm sure it'll get "approved", but hey, if you want to give people more money to dump into the market, I'm for it.
Interesting. So many of these stories in the history of stocks/companies. Elon Musk says he once considered selling Tesla to Apple, Tim Cook didn’t want to take a meeting Also interesting that Musk is speaking out now that the Big Fruit is jumping into the game :
iirc Google, during its embryonic stage, once considered selling to MSFT, but Steve Balmer wasn’t interested
Weird, he's got no leverage. If he vetoes won't congress just wait 28 days for buyden to sign off? They'll just blame him for the delay and wait it out.
I think it was passed by enough votes to override a veto, so it wouldn't matter. I'm not too worried about it other than for the people that need the money.
I think drofdunk is right from what I’ve read. He’s likely just throwing a tantrum. I mean even if every one doesn’t think the direct payment part of the bill is enough I’m sure there will be at least one more additional bill sooner rather than later once Biden takes office
Apparently he was barely involved in negotiations and could have publicly said this obviously way before this point. Seems to just be posturing and showmanship.
guys is the dream of a solid state future over? time to sell QS? hodl? kept a few shares as a joke, but it's gone up so much it's actually worth something now lol. could make a few more bets on penny stocks with the $; hmm
