Are we turning Simmons into a post center? If so then I might be buying in.

that Westbrook is still a liability in the playoffs and someone teams will just ignore out on the perimeter

Zion hit like 5 threes in his first NBA game. Get back to me when Ben Simmons makes 1.

Zion takes 0.5 3s a game. Get back to me when that amount of attempts matter at all.

When peoples biggest complaint about Simmons is that he doesn't/can't shoot threes, and then view Zion as the next great superstar when he only takes 0.5 threes a game, you aren't making sense.

The point is that Ben Simmons is a non-shooting guard, which is problematic. The fact we are comparing him to Shaq and Zion at all illustrates the problem.

    Ben Simmons:
    Career Three pointers: 2

    Shaquille O'Neal:
    Career Three pointers: 1

    Yes that's the whole point.

He plays with the ball in his hand when Wall sits or he posts up.

He's a power forward. He is capable of being an elite screener and cutter.

Ben Simmons is 6'10, he's not a guard. He's an athletic ball handling physical specimen in the same mold as Giannis. Except Mil has a system built around Giannis with 4 shooters surrounding him. Simmons has Embiid's big ass parked in the paint all game. In Houston his game would be unlocked.

Well, you may get your wish. Time will tell. I would still prefer Jaylen Brown, but who really knows.

TBH, I much prefer Harden to all these 'options.'

Well I agree he really needs to be used creatively and though more of as a passing big. That comes with a lot of ifs. As you noted, he needs a bunch of shooters, which makes Wall a problem. He won’t be clogging the paint but it creates another defender that can sag off defensively, creating spacing issues. The other ifs are whether Simmons is comfortable and committed to that role and if Silas feels comfort designing the offense that way. The last two we as fans can’t know, at least not before a trade is made.

    Player A: 34.5 mpg, 16.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 6.3 apg, .6 bpg, 1.9 spg
    40.5% fg%, 26.4% 3p%, 70.3% ft%

    Player B: 33.7 mpg, 15.8 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 8.2 apg, .9 bpg, 1.7 spg
    54.5% fg%, 0% 3p%, 56% ft%

Both rookie season stats. Who do you want to build around?

My wish is for Harden to stay because I really think this is a legit contender with him. I'm not a Simmons only fan, he's just by far the best player that we have heard about being available imo.

The one that shoots 55% from the field. Also do these numbers include defense? Because Simmons is a DPOY candidate.

Everyone says Simmons is good but I don’t believe it. He reminds me too much of MCW and the numbers are close enough to back that up.

    Player A: MCW
    Player B: Summons

I'm no Simmons fan, but you are massively underrating him. Lol. I mean the only thing he has in common with MCW is his shitty shooting.

Size, defense, rebounding, passing, and position are all similar as well. Everyone thought MCW was the **** when he won rookie of the year, then he went to his next team and sucked.
