This almost sounds like Harden is staying depending on if we are a top three seed? Maybe I'm looking more into this but it seems an odd goal to have for someone that is seeking to get traded. It sounds like some agreement has been made that if the team is a top 3 he'll think about staying and if not then they'll trade him.
Well he could have said look I feel good about our teams chances or something positive but I can see you’re view of him being tired of all these questions and innuendoes .
I agree, talking about team goals seems like a positive sign. He certainly could have been more vague if he had wanted to... or maybe I am just grasping at straws.
Man, DONT trade Harden. Lets keep him for 2 more years and tank hard afterwards eff it.... As long as he's committed for 2 more years I'm down, after that he can go chase whatever he wants.
He certainly could of spun "I've always felt good about this team, we have talented players and players that are hungry, I never doubted we could be a top team this season." Still, I don't see an issue with not answering the question.
He's getting traded today or tomorrow or he's staying for the year. If he is traded midseason, I would be absolutely shocked. Trades like that do not happen.
Harden is actually quite media savvy. He basically avoided the tough question and answered everything as politely and generically as possible without giving away his trade situation.
I do. Harden needs to be a better leader by owning his situation and holding himself more accountable in this situation. You are either with us or your not. What is your stance? That cannot be in question as a leader and a basketball player that is comfortably saying he is championship minded.
I mean he clearly wants to be traded. How can he own up to the situation anymore than that. I'm glad he's with the team now and practicing
I'm a bit young to really remember that deal but The Blazers were absolutely toast by then. If the Rockets suck at the deadline, sure, he is on the block. The Rockets will not suck. They will be a top 4 seed by March 25. It's not a bad situation. Harden is a terrible talent evaluator. He wanted Ty Lawson and Russell Westbrook. He wanted Ty Lue has head coach over Silas. That's all you have to know. also. Was Clyde an expiring contract at the time? Did the Rockets sign him to an extension the following season or was he locked in for two more years?
