    I. Doing deal with Herro, Duncan and Precious. This clears a path for Gordon and Tucker go bye bye. And find some assets and lower some cap numbers maybe sign a FA in some upcoming years

I've never thought about this, and I get what you're saying, but who are the "dedicated" NBA players? Or better yet, who aren't? I would think any NBA star is pretty dedicated. By "star", I mean a somewhat established one. I mean, you can be dedicated and still goof off every-so-often, right? I think a lot of those guys get married, have kids, and say "I'm too old to be partying like that" by the time they're 30-34.

Did you fall asleep the last 4 seasons?

Harden has been playing elite post defense for at least 4 seasons and last season he led NBA in steals and top guard in steals AND blocks.

Harden has had a net positive defensive rating the last 2 seasons.

And in the playoffs, Harden's perimeter defense was top 3 on the team.

It is inredibly frustrating when Rockets fans regurgitate BS narrative that Harden cannot play defense.

These are supposed to be the die hards that actually watch every Rockets games?????

I mean there's no doubt he's much improved defender.

But as a couple articles point out, there's definitely been a recognition of his weakness and the Rockets defensive scheme adjusted to cover it.

He's absolutely a super solid post defender. But I care about that kind of in the same way I care if my PG is a great rebounder.

But perhaps i was too harsh on his defense.

Glad u seem to realize so.
He may have some defensive weakness but he is certainly not a liability or useless on defense like how some posters on here like to phrase it.

lef the team in defensive rating and defensive bpm

and compared to all players in the league under 6'7"

    3rd in steals
    2nd in blocks
    4th in defensive rebounds
    4th in defections
1st in offensive loose balls recovered
2nd in all loose balls recovered
1st in contested 2 pt shots
    5th in all contested shots

Tell em D-rock!!! When Rockets fans are the ones peddling terrible narratives and disinformation about their own players, it’s the biggest shame of all.

people talk about us going to a switch defense like it’s a bad thing...

We all heard what CP3 said. Our switch defense shut sh*t down and would have opposing players arguing with each other on the court because they’re not running their stuff. Rockets have proven that with the right personnel, they are elite defensively when switching.

2014 called and said she wants her “Harden is a terrible defender” narrative back

Remember when Houston first played a few games in the Bubble and everyone was talking about the great defense Houston was playing, You know why that's because James Harden played team ball and played defense, then after like 4 games he went back to his same self, until game 7 when he block the shot to win the game.

The bottom line WE CAN'T and NEVER WILL WIN a Championship with this guy. He plays when he wants to and wants to partying and hang out in clubs and everything is ABOUT HIM. I am done with him the sooner the better CYA

Harden was locked in defensively for most of his time in the bubble

do better than this dumb post...wasn’t even worth reading the rest of your garbage after that dumbass narrative u tried to spin

    You are so FOS.

Harden was locked in on defense the entire playoffs, sometimes to the detriment of his offense.

After every single game, every single player including MDA preached DEFENSE.

Did CP3 move without the ball?

A question you need to ask yourself while you are going in on Harden.

@Clutch this insider stole your name.

This group of Miami guys are pretty firm on saying Duncan Robinson isn't being offered. Imagine trading Harden to Miami and not getting Herro and Robinson to start negotiations.

“Mind games” Morey, let’s see if he’s so confident when the Sixers are the 5th or 6th seed 20-30 games into the season.

He literally cannot hard ball here. He and Stone are so familiar with each other. If the Rockets really do want Simmons there will come a point when Stone says give us your final offer and then we are moving on. Morey definitely presents an offer just shy of the final offer and Stone counters one more time with what the lowest level of what it takes (or close to) and if Morey won't match? You move on. I've gotten there before in negotiations and come to an impasse, sometimes time is the way to get it done, sometimes it never gets done at what you want. Time in this instance doesn't really exist for Morey if there are other deals on the table that are acceptable for Stone. It all comes down to whether the team values Simmons enough to wait for the right offer from Philadelphia or if the other options are equal to them all things considered.

As long as Simmons is the middle ground in the negotiations I think they will come to a common ground. I had the Heat the leading candidate but if Simmons is available and windy confirmed it on espn I think eventually Simmons will be a Rockets player

I don’t like the upside of the Heat deal unless it includes a ton of unprotected picks from other teams. Not including Robinson? GTHOH.
