If they give up Pascal/OG for Harden, they’ll have Harden Lowry and a bunch of role players. They will still make the playoffs for sure. Any team with Harden can make the playoffs. But I doubt they can seriously contend.

If James Harden does not work out for Boston or Toronto, they can trade him for Ben Simmons at the end of the season. That is why this deal makes sense for them.

Purely for Bill Simmons homerism on Jaylen Brown and general hatred for James Harden i would lmfao if we sent him to Boston.

Can just imagine now the total 180 he does on his thoughts / opinion on James. I like a lot of the stuff he does but by god the Celts homer stuff is so cringeworthy

Raptors don't have much to offer. Celtics aren't going to give up Tatum. Brown and Smart aren't bad, but we need Theis and two future first round picks as well. Angie is a tough guy to negotiate with.

That would be Harden's self inflicted problem not ours.

I’m a lifelong Houstonian, I know who he is and actually listened to him with Lance way back when they were both working for 610am. I made the funny just to be funny, life is too short to not Love/Live/Laugh as much as possible. Wasn’t trying to throw dirt on the guy...

    Go Rockets!!!

I’m talking about Toronto’s perspective. Why would they do this trade?

Yeah this has been brought up too other times, i'm pretty sure, but what would Toronto have left if they trade Siakam and OG?

    Baynes
    Boucher
    Powell
    Harden
    Lowry

I mean, this team won't win **** lol, it's a old ass lineup with two good players and one of them being expiring and maybe close to retire, i don't know, sure, they could tell Harden they'll try to sign someone next summer, good luck with that.

I don't think they will do this trade either.

Because Harden and getting FAs to sign in Toronto is difficult. Also, they are at best 3 or 4 seed right now. Harden could drag 4 bums in the East to 4th seed but they have Harden now to "attract" role players and maybe another star.

So many sauces. All over the place. This is pretty ridiculous lol.

So far, I've yet to see a solid source for Toronto, Miami, Boston, and Denver deals. Where the hell are y'all getting information from?

Yeah. Any team trading for Harden has to believe Harden can make them a serious contender. I just don’t see Toronto as one.

Harden was going to Boston in my trade scenario. It's a fantasy trade so no way would my 3 team trade ever go through.

If you could get siakam from Toronto... it’s unlikely Harden ends up resigning there... Toronto would be lottery status in just a couple years. Those future 1st rd picks could be very valuable in the future

I am not hating on Jaylen Brown, I am not even saying that there are better packages out there, but IDK how do you justify trading Harden for the 2nd best player on a team like the Celtics who havent won anything with this core, and look terrible in comparison to BKN in the recent matchup.

I dont give a damm about the fact that there is nothing better then Brown being offered, I dont care that Harden wants to leave, I am not trading who probably is the most acomplished individual player in the last 5 years in the NBA for the best package being offered when he has 2 years left on his contract and said package is just ok.

Hey Morey you want him, Simmons +3 FRP Minimum
Hey Miami Bam and Herro and + 2 FRP Minimum
    Hey Celtics Tatum or GTFO
Hey Brooklyn GTFO you have nothing

If not you let players play, coaches coach, and I am 100% sure we a top 5 team in the west this year, wich is not the goal, but is still solid.

Toronto might offer Lowry and Powell for James. It works on the ESPN trade machine. That would be helpful for them, but useless for us.

Definitely agree with you. I think Jaylen Brown could flourish with a more significant role. He's always been behind Tatum in Boston's pecking order, and also behind Kyrie and Kemba over the past two years since he's started to develop more on the offensive end. He's a knock-down shooter, an above-average defender at his position, and a high-character guy. And as our roster is currently composed, he'd fit in really well with our needs and help fill the gap that Harden will leave.

No one player could possibly compensate for what we'll lose if Harden goes, but I think a developing Brown & Wood, a return to form for Wall & Cousins, and a healthy & confident season from Gordon could surprise a lot of people. That's a lot of Ifs though.

Jaylen Brown is 6'6''. Always thought he was shorter.
